In town for a conference and as a Hilton honors member, I’m always looking for a good Hilton property. This place is great. Very close to the French Quarter but just off the beaten path enough to not be crazy. There is a street car that runs I. Front that make a bit of racket but hey, you’re in downtown New Orleans, it’s just noisy. I will definitely stay here again.

Hello, OK then nice Hotel close to most areas of the city by walking, The room was nice but would need updating, the dispensers that were glued or stuck on the wall might come off. they still did not refill the shower soap dispensers even asking a few times. the bell man Ernel was fantastic. got cabs helped with luggage. Food and drinks at Lukes was good. elevators a little scary but get you to your floor. staff was OK too. but the building is historic if you like historic buildings that is why we choose this hotel.

Upon entry to the hotel, the foyer takes you in time. You cannot get in without a key card. The valet driver also does not have a key card!! Upon entry to the hotel, the foyer takes you in time. You cannot get in without a key card. The valet driver also does not have a key card!! So have to wait for someone to come in (or out from the hotel) for the locked door to open. The check in is easy. But the receptionist never smiles, comes across as someone who is fed up with what he is doing. If I didn’t ask for breakfast, he won’t show me where it is, didn’t even bother what time it is available. I didn’t have a choice of hotel since this was booked by my workplace, but being a Hilton member, I was able to use some perks, though you don’t feel special at all. Luke’s the restaurant, offers some great food. My partner and I walked in, informed them we are guests but was told that the wait is at least 45 minutes. So I went to the website, and voila! We have a table in less than 5 minutes! I don’t know what’s the reasoning about all these. We are guests of the hotel. On the first day of our stay, we were told that the “machine is broken and does not charge to the room”. In the decades of using hotels, never have I heard of this. Location is good, walking distance to the French quarter’s, WW2 museum, shops. Breakfast is over $30 for a one person (the voucher is $15/person). This is one of the perks of a gold member since I lost my diamond last year. The room is tired, needs refurbishing, and has really seen better days. I probably won’t use this hotel and instead, stay in another Hilton a block or two from here, closer to the French square.
