This was the last hotel on a 21 tour by car of USA before returning to England. We stayed here 3 nights when there was a large conference in hotel. We ate in Dragos one night and had several visits to the bar area.. overall we thought the staff were very helpful, the public areas were nicely furnished and kept clean by staff, the hotel looked like an average hotel not Ritz Carlton but nice beds, large rooms, super air conditioning, New Orleans was exceptional hot for our visit. Security seemed good as lifts only worked if you tapped your room key. We used the valet parking, charge clearly displayed at entrance to car park and car made available very promptly when we needed it. Charge the same as at other hotels in area and other places we stayed. It’s a short walk (10 minutes) or light rail to the French Quarter which was packed because of crunch football game. Our room overlooked the river and the train tracks, the view as the sun rose was spectacular. We were very pleased to have stayed here, but I thought the Starbucks prices were very expensive and the muffins not very special but it was the only Starbucks we visited on our trip so maybe that’s the standard price and quality.

“Decent ”

Good Hilton. Little store overpriced significantly compared to other hiltons. Set up of the property with elevators etc a little confusing but once you get used to it all good. Clean rooms. Hallways look straight out of 70's horror flick. Would stay here again.

Really enjoyed the freight trains going past the restaurant window! Very large Hotel that is well situated for down town New Orleans. Really enjoyed the freight trains going past the restaurant window! Very large Hotel that is well situated for down town New Orleans. The staff are efficient if not very friendly but does that matter of they do their job? This is Convention Central, so expect every Mid Western salary man to be letting his or her hair down, at the companie's expense! The breakfasts are extensive and should meet all tastes. No reason not to use!
