“All around perfection”

The staff, facilities and location were all exceptional.. The food in the restaurant was delish and the bar staff were friendly and professional.. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable .. If we return to Nashville we would stay again!

Great experience… entire staff is incredible kind, helpful and gracious. Rooms are terrific. Housekeeping flawless. Setting beautiful and clean. Great location - walkable to all the popular destinations yet quiet and safe. Definitely would stay again. Breakfast was great too but all I had was the oatmeal and coffee. A quick lunch in the cafe was great.

“Best birthday ever!”

I stayed at the Hermitage Hotel for my 60th birthday with my husband! The Hotel is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and customer service and accommodations were top notch! The staff goes the extra mile to make you happy. Best birthday I can remember abd I can’t wait to go back!

Beautiful hotel on the edge of where you want to stay downtown. We arrived in the evening. There was no one at the front desk to our surprise, we waited for almost 5 minutes until someone arrived. The guy seemed rushed when he arrived, he did not explain anything about the hotel. I asked him if it is safe to walk around at night and he said that it is, but to walk to the right and not the left because there is nothing on the left. The room was spacious. It reminds me of a St Regis or Ritz Carlton with sofa by the bed, double sinks, lots of lights, view of the state capitol. There is a mini bar and there is a sign not to store items in it because you would be charged. The closet has a note about shoe shine for $40. No bag in the closet for laundry. Water pressure in the shower is not great. And I heard a whole conversation from the room next door that had an adjoining door. So we decided to explore the area in the evening. We followed the front desk’s suggestion and turned right. We did not know that we were supposed to walk down so after walking to the right we turned left and that was a mistake. There were several homeless people, one of them started following us. We felt very uncomfortable and went back to the hotel. The guys who are at the main entrance at night are very friendly, the people who are there during the day are too busy to greet people or open the door. There is daily maid service. I left the room and returned at 10:30 am and the maid was in the room. I went to the lobby to wait. I returned back at 11 am and she was still there. I knocked and asked when she expects to be done. The woman did not speak a word of English. I went back to the lobby and waited longer. When I went back to the room after she left I noticed that there were crumbs on the carpet so I am not sure why she was in the room for this long. In the evening there is a water and cookie service. After trying the cookie the first night and not liking it I asked the maid if there is a different cookie, but this maid also did not speak English. The first morning we walked to a nearby breakfast place. Later that day someone I spoke with on the elevator told me that the hotel has coffee downstairs in the mornings. The following morning I went to look for the coffee and could not find it. I asked at the front desk and they pointed out where it is. I still could not find it and had to go back to ask again. The coffee is hidden to the right of the elevator across from it in a corner. Had a guest in the elevator not mentioned it I would not have known about it. There needs to be a sign in the room because I was looking for a tea maker or a coffee maker in the room. I am also not sure what time they take away the coffee. I went down at 10:45 am and it wasn’t there. I do not expect to return to this hotel, but I can see why some people choose to return for the old charm and beautiful lobby.
