“Standard Hampton that needs some updating and attention to detail”

We spent two nights at this hotel as we had an early flight after the second night. This Hampton was not quite up to par like most Hamptons we stay in. The room was clean but needs a remodel. Bathroom shelves were not level and loose. Shower was good but no towel bars to hang wet towels, only hooks. Our room had a barn door to the bathroom and when you opened it it slid to close the closet - almost injured my husband who was standing in the closet. Breakfast was standard and identical both days. No hard boiled eggs that most Hamptons have. We are usually given bottles of water on arrival but had to ask the next day. Parking can be scary if you have to park in the back but we were lucky to park near the gas station which lit up the area. Very little light in the back and we were concerned our rental car might be broken in there. Better lighting would feel safer. On the positive side we had housekeeping and the housekeeper was a lovely friendly lady.

We recently stayed at the Hampton Inn near the airport, and while proximity to the airport wasn't a priority for us, it’s worth noting that it’s not too far away. The location is also quite convenient, with just a twenty-minute drive to Broadway in Nashville. Our room was very nice and spacious, which was a pleasant surprise. It came equipped with a kitchenette, a living room, a small dining room table, a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee machine—perfect for a longer stay. However, I did notice that while the room was generally clean, it wasn’t as spotless as I would have liked. For example, the air vents were noticeably dirty. The bathroom setup was interesting; they separated the toilet and shower from the rest of the bathroom, which was great in theory. However, the shower area lacked a shelf or any place to put our clothes or toiletries, so we had to walk out to the other part of the bathroom where the sink was to access our things. It wasn’t a major issue, but a bit inconvenient. In the morning, they offer coffee, decaf, and hot water for tea. There are snacks available, though they are a bit pricey, but there’s a handy corner store right next door. The included breakfast was decent with a good variety of options like waffles, toast, bagels, oatmeal, and cereal, each with some nice add-ons like chocolate chips for the waffles and grapes and pecans for the cereal. There were also hot items like sausage, eggs, and different types of potatoes, which added some variety. Overall, the Hampton Inn provided a comfortable and convenient stay, with a few minor areas for improvement. It’s a solid choice if you're visiting Nashville, especially with the easy access to Broadway and the nearby corner store!
