Robert and his whole front desk team are the best and we can’t wait to return!

“This is not a luxury resort as advertised”
The Inn at Pelican Bay is just that, an Inn. The Inn at Pelican Bay is just that, an Inn. It is not luxury or a resort even though you are charged a daily resort fee of almost $45 (39.95 + tax) If you are only using this Inn to sleep at, it's great. We booked a room for $598 and ended up at over $700 per night with all the taxes and fees. Just not worth it. The Pros: The rooms are kept very clean by the housekeeping staff. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable, some of the best I've had and the free breakfast in the morning has a large selection of treats including fresh made omelets. They also offer a free shuttle to the beach and will provide chairs and umbrellas. The shuttle drivers are all very accommodating. The Cons: The pool is extremely small, the online pictures make is look much more beautiful than it is, and although they say there's a hot tub, in our week long stay we never saw one. There are no cocktails or lunch around the pool since the bar doesn't even open until 3pm and is PROMPTLY closed by 11pm. So nightcaps are out too. There is no restaurant on premises, just a tiny snack shop that once again is closed by 11pm. The wifi (which is considered a resort amenity) does not work outside by the pool or on the porch where you eat breakfast. The majority of the guests there during our stay were 70 plus years old. (February-march). Im not sure how Trip Advisor ranks them #1 in Napels, #1 in Florida and #25 in the US. It is nowhere near, and I stay at hotels 4 times a month. If you want luxury and a resort, stay at the Ritz or Laplaya. This is closer to a Courtyard Marriott.

Let’s start with the good: The beds and pillows are some of the best. The housekeeping is excellent. The place is quiet. Shuttle drivers were all very nice The strange: The pictures are not nearly to scale. The pool is 40’ long, average size of any back yard pool. The property is actually quite small. The missing: Cocktails are difficult to come by. The bar is only open from 3-11pm. One of the two bartenders lacks any social skills whatsoever. There is no restaurant. You get breakfast. It’s decent. Bring your own cup if you want anything besides paper. The indifferent: Average age of guests is 70. Place is a ghost town by 9pm. Maybe that’s why the bar closes ? Simply put; the rankings and accolades are actively solicited. There is no way this place should rank higher than any Ritz Carleton.
