My family and I stayed during the week of Thanksgiving. Let’s start with what was not good—-and it is minor compared to what we have seen over the years of travel. Yes, the rooms may seem a little dated in style. Our room’s wallcovering had alot of wear and tear, one light switch did not function, one lampshade and wall at the desk had ink splatter, and the room did not have a fridge, did not have a microwave ( I personally can do without that as I find reheating stuff can stink up the room. My husband used the one at the kiosk off the lobby a couple times.), no alarm clock (we have 3 phones with that capability), and lack of room outlets (small powerstrip at one nightstand that we shared and one at the desk that my husband used for his work laptop.). The good: 1) Front desk service/cleaning staff. Our check in went smoothly. Later in the stay, Coco (person at the front desk) was professional and grace under pressure when my daughter and I went to the front desk to inform of the power outage in our room (the phone did not work without electricity). We witnessed her dealing with a couple that demanded a refund and cancelled their stay over the small power outage in their room (they were on a different floor). The building engineers worked quickly, we had our phone flashlights to get us by as we got ready for bed, the weather was temperate so the rooms were comfortable—-electricity came back on soon after (maybe 30 minutes after outage). The cleaning staff were hard working and they were very pleasant when we encountered them in the hallways. 2) The room: The bathrooms were clean and efficient, hot water in good supply. Clean linens (no stains or random hairs)! The bed was very comfortable (daughter had the pullout and she slept just fine.). Room was clean—-I had no issues sitting on the floor sorting through our bags and went about the room barefoot. Coffee maker was easy to use. Thermostat/HVAC unit worked and made the room comfortable. Room smelled good (not musty or chemically). Room was spacious and had good storage. 3) amenities: the exercise room had good equipment, the kiosk had a decent selection, and the family enjoyed the pool and hot tub. All in all, we enjoyed our stay and would easily come back in the future.
