Mia at the front desk was very helpful when we experienced a problem with a quote we had received from Priceline. She was very polite and professional with us, while being quite firm and determined on the phone with the Priceline agent. In the end we received the rate Priceline had promised by booking with Mia directly, and Priceline cancelled their reservation, which they did not want to do, and refunded their "price guarantee" which included excessive "convenience fees". Lesson learned, don't book through a third party without first requesting a "price match" directly from the hotel. Thank you Mia!

“Rooms need to be inspected and repaired before being assigned to guests, great restaurant experience”

Fancy and updated lobby, restaurant and common spaces, but rooms leave much to be desired. Fancy and updated lobby, restaurant and common spaces, but rooms leave much to be desired. The first room I was given had a small piece of ceiling that had fallen off and into the bathtub, so I had to go back down to reception to get another room, which they did with no issue. The second room I got had a very weak toilet flush, I thought it had been plugged (by the previous guest) but after a second flush, realized that that was just how the toilet was. The shower head flange was loose and basically hanging around the shower head arm. At this point, I was too tired to go back downstairs to ask for another room so I just decided to live with it for my short stay. Besides that, the room was very clean, and had all the basic amenities one would expect from a Hilton property. The room decor and furniture is dated and you can tell that the rooms (from the two I'd seen) were falling apart in certain spots. Clearly, management decided to spend the renovation budget they had on the main common spaces but not on the rooms, which is unfortunate as a hotel is defined as a place for lodging/accommodations, not just being used for conferences and events. Dined at the restaurant which was surprisingly very good, the food was excellent and they had a great list of local craft beer on tap. Dining service was excellent, casual, friendly and efficient. My dining experience was the highlight of my stay.

PRO: Great location across from Old Mystick Village and the aquarium, nice lobby, friendly staff, has on-site restaurant. PRO: Great location across from Old Mystick Village and the aquarium, nice lobby, friendly staff, has on-site restaurant. CON: Old rooms with small bathrooms that were clean but otherwise badly in need of refresh/renovations (they look 20+ years old). Breakfast buffet had a nice setup but the food itself was basically the same as the Residence Inn from the night before. OVERALL: Might come back, we'll see. Could really be great if they invested in the rooms.
