Our one bedroom villa was absolutely beautiful, standing in the screened balcony, overlooking a pond with a water fountain. Being winter our outdoor activities were limited, but the girls in the activity room in the main building was very helpful. Everyone on the property was very nice, and all of our questions were answered. We would definitely stay here again.

“Great Resort, Great Location”

This resort is pretty much within 30 minutes of things you want to do and see in Myrtle Beach. We stayed here once before and wanted to come back so we did. This resort is pretty much within 30 minutes of things you want to do and see in Myrtle Beach. We stayed here once before and wanted to come back so we did. The grounds have a lot to offer, especially during the hot weather season. The only downside is that they are renovating buildings and the older ones that have not gone through the transformation are not worth staying in. We complained and asked for another unit which they happily switched for us. Make sure you are not in the old yellow buildings, ask for the newer gray ones; like night and day.

This was our second visit to Myrtle Beach and first to this resort. Although we spoke directly to one of Sheraton’s reservation specialists, we did not get accurate information. We were advised that we’d booked a unit with a balcony, however, upon arrival, we were advised that five buildings were under renovation and we could not have a balcony and the bed was queen not king. The resort was very quiet, we only saw one person in the pool during our eight night stay in early November and there were no restaurants open. The lazy river is nice, but just a short loop. There is an indoor pool. The hot tubs were not hot and the pools cold. Once the sun goes down it is too dark to walk as lighting on paths is sparse. The mini golf is well maintained, but can’t be used after dark as with much of the resort the lights are kept off, which makes no sense. The bbq areas have recently been updated. If you don’t mind staying on a building site with the constant sound of pneumatic drills ringing from dawn to dusk, you’ll like it. The staff zoom around in carts day and night that make the most dreadful noise, this was noisy when walking around and from in the room. There was often a smell of sewage, but we noticed that outside the resort too, so it may have been drifting in. We had an updated villa and it was clean and well appointed, although rather claustrophobic because there was no patio or balcony and a huge bank of air conditioner units just outside the window. The pathways around the resort were quite uneven and came to sudden ends, with no continuous loop to walk. We had to buy pillows, because the ones provided were small and lumpy. Our unit was on the outskirts of the resort and there was a lot of party noise coming from adjacent property that could be heard over the TV. There were nice flowers near the crazy golf, but few anywhere else. If you like activities, there is tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard, basketball, crazy golf, pool and corn hole. The resort is close enough to walk to Broadway At The Beach (it’s a shopping, activity restaurant area) not at the beach. The actual beach is a short drive, with a few parking areas, but just a few. Market Commons is a nicer place to visit with shops, restaurants and a movie theater, plus many signs paying tribute to the military (nicely done). The actual town of MB along the ocean is older, lots of 1970’s style hotels, kind of an arcade type town. This is definitely an older resort town. We won’t return I’m sad to say.

“No heated pools”

Very disappointed that NONE of the pools were heated. The kids were very disappointed, nothing really to do at the property. How expensive would it be to at least heat the indoor pool? Very disappointed that NONE of the pools were heated. The kids were very disappointed, nothing really to do at the property. How expensive would it be to at least heat the indoor pool? We had 2 units and the family together so that was fun. The units were nice. But for a small investment in the pools it could have been great.
