“Beautiful hotel.”

This is a beautiful hotel. The lobby reminded me of a New Orleans hotel. The woman at the desk was friendly and efficient. The room was amazing, so big and comfortable. The shower was huge! As always the welcome cookies were delicious! We hope to stay again!

The recently renovated and redecorated Doubletree Suites in Lexington is absolutely spectacular with the character of New Orleans. And the employees from management on down are sooooo nice. It is my go to place to stay in Lexington, Kentucky.

The exterior and interior of this hotel are really quite gorgeous. The grounds were clean and the lobby was an atrium with an elegant feel to it. The front desk was a little busy when we arrived but the young woman who greeted us was very friendly and polite. We loved our room, the 2 queen sized suite. It was very spacious, with a large tv in both the bedroom and the sitting area. The bathroom was also lovely, with an XL shower with two shower heads. The only disappointments were that there was a space to hang clothes, but no hangars? They also provided us with exactly the number of towels for our party. I usually use two! The towels were very large though! The room was quiet as well.

My husband and I stayed here for one night while visiting the area. We chose one of the rooms with a view of outside and I’m glad that we did. The hallways are dimly lit. They are going for the look of New Orleans. The place is newly remodeled. We stayed in room 213 the Magnolia Suite which considered the honeymoon suite. We were provided with a freshly baked cookie upon arrival which was excellent. We are members of Hilton so we were able to get an excellent rate for our room. Another reason for choosing this room was due to having a large soaking tub. Unfortunately, when I went to relax and use some of the shower gel which was provided the dispenser was empty. This was not very efficient. Since we were only staying the one evening and I was able to get shower gel from the shower area I did not complain. The room itself was very clean. The temperature of the room was comfortable. There was a ceiling fan in the bedroom and in the lounging area. There was a safe and a large walk-in closet which we did not use since we were only there for one evening. The bed was very comfortable. There is a Keurig machine provided, and they do offer free coffee in the lobby. They did provide K cups, which we did not use because we had our own. The refrigerator was in desperate need of being defrosted. It barely kept the water that we brought cold.. There is an ice machine on each floor so we just ice from there. The next morning, we decided to have breakfast at the hotel. We waited almost 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. I would like to point out. They were not busy. You can choose from a buffet or you can choose from the menu. We are not buffet type of people so we ordered off the menu. The food arrived quickly and was good. Unfortunately, you were only provided with one slice of toast and it was quite small. The prices are moderate to expensive considering the type of hotel it is. The location of the hotel is inside a shopping center. If we had known what all was located in the shopping center, we would have chosen to dine elsewhere.
