RESORT LOCATION AND UNIT We stayed at a Worldmark Resort on the Boulevard. This complex is directly on Las Vegas Blvd, but is quite a bit south of the main strip area. They provided a complimentary shuttle on the hour to take you up the the strip, which was nice. The complex is nice and clearly well maintained. Our particular unit was a 2 bed, 2 bath that was reasonably up to date with finishes. The guest bedroom had 2-twin beds and there was an additional pull down (Murphy bed) as well. Check in and out was smooth and easy. We actually checked in quite early, about 12:30 p.m. or so. Our unit was ready to go. Since the resort is right in the heart of Vegas, the views are not that great. The patios and balconies all face toward the middle of the complex where the different pools are located. Although the weather was sunny, it was on the chilly side with highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s. It was actually warmer back home than it was in Vegas while we were there during the first week of March! We hear you, but it was Vegas, baby! It was just fine and safe to walk around the area. Worldmark is owned by Wyndham. Worldmark is basically their timeshare brand. Wyndham also owns RCI. So, even though we are happy members of our own vacation club (UVC) we decided to go to Wyndham's timeshare presentation. Well, they gave us a free week to use inside RCI, so why not? Just be aware they may want you to attend their presentation if you stay here. RESORT FACILITIES The facility itself was rather large with 16 total buildings. There are 4 outdoor and HEATED pools with hot tubs that were actually hot, a decent sized fitness room, a main check in/out area, a game area, and a little market. Each pool was good sized and one of the areas was actually a lazy river. There were also barbeque areas. We really did not know what to expect from the resort itself. We were certainly pleasantly surprised by the complex, location, and overall amenities. You never know what you might get, especially with the deal we were able to obtain through RCI. Well worth the money. RESORT ACOMMODATIONS As noted, our unit was a nice sized 2 bed and 2 bath overlooking one of the pool areas. We were in Building 10 which is located in the back corner of the property. Pretty quiet. All buildings had elevators so no problem getting around for anyone. The complex offers all types of units from studio (hotel room) to 3 bedroom. It might be nice to go have at least a queen bed in the guest bedroom instead of 2-twin beds, but definitely better if traveling with kids. The beds and furniture were all comfortable. The unit had a gas fireplace that made the unit very comfortable in the chill of the night. The unit had a full kitchen with everything you needed. As mentioned, we were not really sure what to expect from the resort and accommodations. We were very pleasantly surprised! Resort was nice. Unit was very comfortable. No complaints. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Keep in mind, it is not in the heart of the strip. That is just what we wanted for this trip, but others might want to be in the middle of the action.
