This hotel has wonderful amenities and rooms. As it used to be the Mandarin Hotel, it still has remnants of the Mandarin but on a Hilton property. It is clean, luxurious and the staff make each guest feel special as they check in or call down for any assistance. The gym has cold towels and waters for all, and the pool has great chairs with a decent amount of umbrellas. While the bar on the highest floor isn’t the greatest view, their drinks are delightful, and if you get a chance to order the nachos at the pool you certainly won’t be disappointed. All around a fantastic experience! Well done, Waldorf/Hilton!

Based on some of the recent reviews, I was hesitant to stay here, but its proximity to family members staying at nearby hotels led me here instead of the usual Four Seasons. Upon check-in, we were promptly "greeted" by one of the two ladies at the desk. I use that term loosely because the woman at the desk looked up at me and smiled but said nothing. I wasn't sure if she was ready to assist, so I stayed back waiting for her to call me over and after a while, she finally offered her assistance. It was a perfunctory check-in without pleasantries. This was the only time we encountered mediocre service. From there on out, all team members I interacted with were friendly and happy to assist. The one-bedroom panorama suite we stayed in was as expected and true to the pictures online. Nice views of the strip although many of the window panels were completely covered due to the curtains that were pushed back when opened. Such a shame to not get to utilize every window in the room. We declined housekeeping for the duration of our 3-night stay which was honored. We did ask for additional towels which they promptly dropped off in the handy valet closet at the entrance of the room. My husband called them ninjas since we never heard them enter the suite. I love that discreet level of service. Quickly in and out with no need for us to interact with anybody. One morning we ordered room service for breakfast. It was delivered promptly and exactly as ordered. The water pressure in the shower left something to be desired, but I find that common in most hotels regardless of class. The one thing that I will complain about in the room is the bed. They feel old and cheap. I can feel every movement from my husband. I think they are due for replacement. I spent a couple of hours at the pool. The service was excellent. My server was frequently doing the rounds and was always walking by at just the right time for me to order my next drink. Umbrellas are scarce, luckily I arrived early enough to snag one (approx 11am) but by noon, all were spoken for, so plan ahead during summer, it's HOT and not fun without shade. Chairs were pretty easy to come by, it does not appear to get packed here like other hotels. It's a very relaxing environment. We communicated with the hotel mainly through the Hilton app which proved to be very effective and efficient. However, the constant unsolicited messages asking me to rate my stay (which I had already completed on day one) became annoying. Then there were the incessant checkout reminders the day before I was scheduled to depart. Multiple reminders to inform me that I need not stop by the front desk to checkout. I think this could be improved. I don't need constant notifications from the hotel during my vacation. All in all, it was a nice stay and I wouldn't mind returning but I prefer the Four Seasons down the street mainly because the beds at FS hotels are always dependable and of superior quality.

I was very reluctant to stay here. There were so many bad reviews I almost didn’t book a night here. I think part of the problem is some of the clientele from staying here when it was the Mandarin are not happy. The Mandarin was a true 5-star hotel and experience. That’s not exactly what the Waldorf is now (I would say 4-star). Some reviews billed it as shabby and tired. That’s just simply not true. The lobby is fresh and updated, so was my room. The staff were professional and attentive, they’re doing an excellent job. I’ll leave you with this. If you’re expecting the Waldorf you get in Paris or Amsterdam, that’s not this. If you want a nice 4-star experience with no casino and some solitude, the Waldorf Las Vegas is a nice choice.
