I stayed at this hotel for a short trip to Vegas. We stayed in the vegas tower. They said that it newly rehab. The room was nice and clean. Kind of small for a room with a king bed. The only complaint that I had about the room was that the bathroom door did not shut completely. The shower didn't have a door so when you showered water got on the floor which became slippery.

Please ignore the negative reviews. Ordinary working class people suddenly have outrageous expectations when they go to Vegas. I’ve stayed at the Strat(osphere) multiple times over the last few decades and had some mixed experiences. This was my first stay since 2019 and I have to say I was mostly very impressed by the changes. Check in was pretty swift, which was appreciated after having been awake for over 24 hours. We booked a 2 queen bed room in the north tower. I’ve stayed in this tower multiple times before and expected a basic but comfortable room. I was pleasantly surprised by the remodelling! The room had very stylish decor, comfortable beds, a refrigerator, safe, view of the arts district, table and chair, a huge smart tv I could connect my cell phone to and stream on, a lovely shower and bathroom, a motion activated light that was really useful when getting up in the night to use the bathroom, a coffee machine, good air conditioning, an abundance of storage space. The alarm clock was also really cute and sensible, you can see the time from any angle you look at it from in the room. The wifi was good most of the time, I have no idea why other reviewers are complaining about it, I was able to download and stream with no issues, though this was slow at the weekend. The gym is also very good. Water and towels provided and all the equipment you’d expect. The pool is lovely, plenty of sun loungers and a great atmosphere. People exaggerate the issues with the area. Yes there are some homeless around but I’ve never felt unsafe and if you’re travelling on a budget it’s great to have Dennys, Jack in the box, downtown and the arts district in short walking distance. It’s also close to the bus station and boulder highway and other parts of the city are accessible by walking one block and catching the sahara bus. The hotel is right at the end of the strip which is ideal for me as I travel all over the city and don’t wish to be caught up in the chaos and foot traffic of the strip where I’m staying. The staff were always friendly and courteous. Slight annoyances: During re-modelling it appears the tubs were ripped out. It’s quite important for me to be able to bathe as I have muscle problems. I figured oh well at least I can use the hot tub, but sadly when I got to the pool that had also disappeared! The USB ports on the TV didn’t work. Occasionally the water hadn’t been re-stocked in the gym making a workout more difficult. No hand soap provided, we had to go and buy this. No hair dryer provided, I called the front desk over and over again and asked for one but it never materialised. The back entrance is completely closed which is a shame as it was handy for the north tower access. The side doors are also closed after 7pm which is inconvenient. The resort fees are of course a joke, as they are at most hotels in Vegas. $55 a night is outrageous for what it supposedly covers and this has increased from $7 a night in 2003. I wish this could be paid in advance rather than on arrival. On check in we were given coupons to access the tower for $5 but at the time of going up we were told there was an additional ‘service fee’ of $5. What an absolute con, I can’t even believe this is legal. While still good value for money, the dishonesty was not appreciated. Overall a lovely stay and it won’t be the last.
