Southpointe is a nice place to stay if you don’t want the craziness of the middle of the strip. Fabulous amenities..many slots and poker tables. Outstanding restaurants and all of the staff are so very nice. Our room was large and comfortable. The only thing I found objectionable..and it is a personal opinion..is the outfits the cocktail waitresses have to wear are ugly..sleazy..and exploitative. Time to stop catering to men ogling and get them something pretty to wear. Wearing something classy is way more appealing and tasteful.

As I am writing this, Ive just arrived home from Las Vegas and I had to immediately post a review of this hotel. First off, I came with my family for my 40th birthday celebration weekend, and from the start, I was a very good one. Upon coming in from the parking structure and into the casino, I noticed that the casino was very big, however , everything was within reach from starbucks to all the eateries. Second, checking in was a breeze and I have to say, very very secure by scanning your ID. The front desk lady, who I cannot remember her name, was very kind to move us from the 17th floor down to the 5th, thus taking away my families fear of tall buildings. She was very pleasant and extremely helpful. Customer service for the entire 2 night stay was 5/5 stars all the way. When it comes to food, we did try the Coronado cafe. The food was pretty good, however if there was ever any complaint about this hotel, is that the beef barley soup had zero flavor to it, and my chicken in the cesar salad was very cold. With that said, we did eat at Zenshin that evening for dinner, and to be honest, the food served there had some of the best ramen Ive ever had in my life. I am half Japanese, though not a ramen snob, but for a place like this to serve noodles in this fashion? That was pretty amazing. I also ordered the salmon skin salad, along with a freshly fried soft shell crab tempura style, and I was blown away. The room was gorgeous. The hardwood floors made it feel very homely, and the bed and beddings smelled fresh and very nice. Bathroom wise, nothing to complain about at all. The tub , toilet and sink areas were all extremely clean, and very nicely polished. All in all, I would and will definitely stay here again. When we got there , there must have been some type of bowling tournament happening, and it was neat to see all the folks get ready to do their thing. Keep up the amazing work South Point.

First time here and will be back. As a former local this is the kind a place I would visit. The crowd here is a mix of locals and older people. This is not a LV strip experience but rather a Vegas experience. Check in was easy and staff were great. Room is where I had some issues. First of all, while it was clean and spacious, there was a noticeable smell of cleaning products which eventually faded. Second issue was that the curtain did not close all the way so light started coming in as soon as the sun came up. Lastly, not sure if it was because we were on a lower floor (4th to be exact) but it was noisy and got a lot of noise, mostly from what sounded like a leaf blower. Other than that it was fine. Nice touch was that there were a couple pair of Southpoint slippers (not top dollar but appreciated) waiting for us. Not sure if it was because it was our first time or they do that for everyone. Bowling alley was fun and reasonable I think. Paid $63 for 4 people and 3 games. Included shoe rental. They have food there however we did not try any. They have plenty of dining options and we choose Steak and Shake. Was not that good over priced and would not go there again. Gaming. Loved playing here. This is was Vegas used to be. 3:2 black jack with $10 minimums. Hand shuffle and not like 8 decks. Sat at a table and was able to play for some time. Went up and down bet from 10 to 50 but I was able to stay on the table and enjoy myself unlike on the strip. Other table games had the lower minimums as well. And staff was great. Asked for extra pillow and they were brought right up. Left clothing in the room and they kept it and was able to get it back from lost and found 2 days later.

“Get Your Eat On!”

Joined family at the Garden Buffet for lunch! Food was filling and a great variety to choose from. Great atmosphere and service. Reasonable prices 7/$126. We weren't guest of the casino/hotel, but we did play slots and enjoyed their buffet.
