Let’s start with the good. As a loyal Marriott customer, I look for Marriott properties first when possible. Since my family was meeting me here after a conference, we wanted a few amenities. The breakfast was legit. Lots of options and the staff kept the food stocked. It was advertised to start at 7:30am on weekends but was out earlier. My kids love a pool and this one was heated well enough that they played in it even when it was only 50 degrees and windy outside. The exercise room was decent with some updated equipment which was very nice. And it was open 24 hours a day. Also a plus. The room was what you would expect from an older property. A nice kitchenette with a full size refrigerator. They had plates and bowls as well in the cupboards. My kids slept on the pullout bed and didn’t complain. Granted they were exhausted from the walking. The location was fine for me as I don’t mind walking places. Close to the sphere (maybe 1/2 mile walk). And the closest strip hotel was the flamingo. Ubers and Lyfts aren’t as plentiful in that area so we scheduled one when we really needed it. About a $20 ride from the strip or Fremont street during the day.

We stayed in the 2BR, 2 bath suite for a long weekend in June 2024. We chose this hotel for the price of the 2BR suite - it was the best in the area. This hotel is definitely dated and worn. The ground floor (lobby, breakfast area, workout area) seems to have been renovated fairly recently but the rooms need some work. There were water/dirt stains around the tub, old cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchenette, and beat up furniture in the living area. The sofa bed was horrible - there's no way an adult could get a good night's sleep there. However, it was quiet and the blackout curtains worked fairly well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool was nothing special but it was quiet and relaxing. The highlight of our stay was the free breakfast - plenty of seating, lots of choices and the food was replenished often. There were several staff members helping at breakfast (the most I've ever seen at a hotel breakfast, actually) and they were quick to clean up or help people find something. This location was a bit far to walk to the strip, especially in the June heat, although we did it one night. Overall, I would find another location until the rooms are renovated, but it has potential to be a good option for families at some point.
