The staff members at every position on the property are wonderful. Everything at the Caribe is excellent and a great value for food and drink. Pool was very enjoyable. Everything was clean in our room. However, our room resembled nothing like the online photos or descriptions. No where near a gold crown rating from RCI. The appliances have not been updated this century. I don't know the schedule for upgrading, but I know you would never have an owner or a prospective buyer in room 5102. I took pictures of the kitchen and bathrooms. The furniture was in good repair. The advertised CAST NOW system wouldn't work on any of the three TVs as none were smart tvs. Both tubs were large, but neither were jacuzzi style tubs. The soap and shampoo bottles would not stick to the shower wall. There were two bottles of lotion at the sink rather than one with hand soap and one with lotion. The grout on the tile nearest the tub and faucet needed to be cleaned out and redone. The refrigerator never stopped running and making a loud humming noise because the temperature adjustment dial was broken off. Result was the top shelf doubled as a freezer. The burners and thin grates on the stove top were rusty. We did not use the oven. The dishwasher needs to be stripped apart and cleaned thoroughly. Definitely everything is showing it's age. Small appliances were all good- coffee pot, toasted, microwave. The bedrooms are set furthest from the hall, but the walls do not help sound proof the noise of guests slamming the exit door, letting their children sprint down the hallway after midnight, just more noise made it to us even with earplugs one of the nights.

The Cancun Resort is a very attractive, comfortable, and clean timeshare property great for families, and a very nice pool area, and it’s non-gaming and non-smoking. The rooms are very spacious, quiet, and comfortable, with several nice room amenities. However, it’s very isolated, there is no daily housekeeping service, and the pool and restaurant areas have very early closing hours, It was also very difficult to book and tailor to when we wanted to stay. Most annoying is that everything is oriented to sales, sales, and MORE SALES!!
