The hotel is located five minutes walk from main strip. This is ideal as you are in an oasis of calm but only a short hop from all that vegas has to offer. The rooms are a great size, suites well appointed with everything you could need, effective air con/heating as required, and beds are super comfortable. The reception team are really lovely and helpful, Moses the maintenance man is great as he even helped fix a small issue with my car which I am sure is not on his job description. Other reviewers mention an issue with time share sellers in reception….they are part of the concierge team, and are very easy to put off with a polite “no thanks”. Plenty of parking and it’s free! Quick heads up, the demolition of the Tropicana hotel site next door is underway, but is well controlled and caused no disruption to our stay. For the price I think this is the hotel to stay at.

“Some Inconsistencies but Generally a Great Stay”

We stayed for a week at a 2-bedroom and enjoyed our stay although there were some glitches. Check in was very easy, and the clerk even gave my husband a birthday smoothie from the bar. The negative part is that we "had" to pick up our "welcome packet" from the "concierge" which was really an encounter with potential timeshare sales. We're not hostages, so I suppose we could have declined the package, but we're also nice and compliant, so we went by. We declined the opportunity to schedule a time to listen to the spiel as we had the entire week planned with no extra time to spare. I had called and requested Building 1 top floor, but we were given Building 4, top floor. Unfortunately, it was right next to the imploded Tropicana, where there was major construction removing rubble. While we were fine through Monday morning, the 5:30AM start on Tuesday morning forced me to call to do a room move. Lucky for me, they had a room available back in Building 1 on the top floor and was told that I could take my time to make the exchange. It was a pain to repack especially when we were so tired and half asleep (we went to bed around 3:00AM), plus there was some miscommunication with the staff, so Housekeeping knocked on the door when we finally fell asleep that morning, and about 30 minutes later, the front desk called to find out what time we could change rooms; I guess they didn't really mean take our time. In our new room, we never heard the construction noise again, but we were kind of shocked that they thought it was okay to rent out those rooms closest to the construction area. While there were noise machines in the room, it would have to be on a high level to drown out that noise. Rooms were fairly clean, although there was obvious crumbs and old crusted "stuff" on the counters. In general, the ACs are pretty loud and weak in the master bedrooms. This would probably be more of an issue in the summer. In our new room, there was a food smell. Maintenance sprayed some commercial odor-eliminating liquid, so that was good until the next time we entered the room again. They did have a machine that would have worked better, but we had to vacate the room and didn't want to... plus by then we were checking out soon. We used the public washers and dryers; they work fine but the process is a little difficult... you insert your credit card, and it'll deduct $8. You press the settings on the washer, and it'll go between different prices, which leads you think you're paying more, but the $8 is a hold. When you use the dryer, you'll insert the same credit card, and it'll recognize that it already has an $8 hold, and you choose your settings. Once you're done w/all the loads, your credit card will be charged the correct amount, but there are no signs that tell you this. I only know because I called them thinking my wash was going to cost $8. It's $2.50/each for washer and dryer. The front desk will give you laundry pod(s). I appreciated the great location, free parking, and no resort fee. In general, it was quiet; I didn't hear the next door neighbors from the bedrooms. When in the living room, you will hear people loudly talking as they walk by the front door (why do they it's okay at 1:00AM?!). Our unit was next to Reno Street, so we could hear sirens, trucks/hot rods, and some general road noise. Since the airport is nearby, you can hear the planes as well. Check out was easy.
