Beautiful and wonderful resort! It offers everything needed for a great vacation. Hotel in general is very clean and everyone is nice, friendly, and professional. I did not eat hotel food because I wanted to try local food from around Lancaster. The bar service is great with very nice servers. I have stayed here before and will continue to return.

“Beautiful hotel, needs improvement to be exceptional”

This is a fantastic place for families, especially with toddlers. The hotel is beautiful and centrally located. We stayed three nights and were proximate to all our ventures (Amish village, strasburg rail, dutch wonderland, restaurants). The rooms are huge, we had the 2 room King suite. Three things need improvement. First, housekeeping. It is clear the bare minimum is done and our room had a damp smell throughout. Also, though there were wood floors, my socks were covered in dirt walking on them. They need to take more care to clean. Second, check-in was 4 hours delayed for many people including ourselves. We didn't have access to our room till night time and missed a reservation because of it. Finally, boring meal options with limited menus on premises. Though tons of surrounding restaurants. Overall, we had a great time. The grounds are beautiful and there is lots to do, they just need to take more care with cleaning.

“Nice villas, not-so-great location or service”

We needed a unit with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths for a 4-night stay with our young grandchildren, and that's what we got. Eventually. Like many other reviewers, we were told our room was not ready when we arrived at 4:30 PM on a Monday in June. Since this was an expensive unit, and we were tired from our travels, we were very disappointed. The front desk staff indicated the room would be ready in 15-20 minutes (apparently the standard verbiage they are supposed to dispense). But 20 minutes came and went and the "villa" was not ready. The supervisor on duty offered us $50 in food credit, and we waited another 20 minutes or so before the room was ready. (The one night we planned to use the food credit, room service told us it wasn't applicable to their orders, so this never got used, and we felt a bit scammed. There was also a big delay in the room service order which was originally promised in 20-25 minutes and finally came in 45-50 minutes.) The 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit we got was in a building adjacent to the extremely busy Route 30 highway. Very, very noisy day and night. If you stay here, avoid the units in buildings 6 & 9, which are the closest to Highway 30. This resort is wedged into a very urban, highly trafficked area with no lush grounds and no sound insulation. It's a nice concept, but the location is not well suited for a "resort." There are not enough indoor facilities for cold or extremely hot weather, and their restaurants are quite limited, with one of them only open for breakfast. While it is pretty central to the area's attractions, it is not very resort-like. We rented a cabana one afternoon, hoping to enjoy the advertised pools. The kids did go in for a while, but the area was extremely overcrowded with no enforcement of the rule prohibiting pool toys and many inconsiderate kids jumping into the pool without regard for other patrons. There is no lifeguard, so no opportunity for adults to relax while the kids enjoy the pool. The unit was bi-level and very spacious. Upstairs we had one very large bedroom for the kids with their own split bath, good storage, and a flat screen television and a smaller king bedroom for us with our own split bath, storage, etc. Bonus points for the ability to close off both parts of the split bath with a pocket door and the make-up/shaving mirror. Downstairs was a kitchen, dining area, and living area with a gas fireplace. We appreciated the large, accessible trash can which didn't require hunting in the cupboards to find, but there was no recycling bin that we could find. Once we got into the room, housekeeping was daily and replaced all the bathroom and bed linens each day. They should consider updating to large bottles of toiletries in the baths and to electronic, contactless access as is the standard in many other properties.
