Had an amazing time at this resort. Will definitely be back here sometime in the future. The scenery was beautiful, really enjoyed the beach the Pina Colada’s are to die for probably one of the best Pina’s I have ever had. The resort is very close to everything in Key West with a short walk to wherever you need to go. 3 different pools on the resort, 2 family friendly ones and 1 adult pool. The beach is private so it wasn’t over crowded and of course you got see what the Keys are popular for and that was Chickens! Chickens and Roosters roaming downtown Key West and I loved it! Don’t forget to fill up on some Key Lime pie when you visit!

“A BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY RIGHT ON DUVAL STREET....At the "mostly" quiet end.”

We stayed at the Duval Garden guesthouse which is located a few blocks from the main resort on Duval Street. We checked in at the main resort on Thursday afternoon and after a half hour wait we were given our key/wrist band and taken by golfcart to our accomodation at the fully renovated guest house. The bellman was quite pleasant. Showed us to our room and delivered the basic rundown of amenities. The building has obviously renovated in recent years as the furniture, floors and bathroom showed little signs of wear. Our only complaint with the actual room (815) was that the rug which sits under the bed and extends to create a walking area seemed quite dirty. We were somewhat disappointed with the timeliness of the housekeeping. On day one we wend out around 9 and came back at 2:30 and our room was nicely cleaned and stocked with towels. Very important to have fresh towels when returning after a morning out. in Key West. The next day re returned at the same time to find that our room had not been touched. A call to the main resort proded housekeeping to show up a half hour later. We had sat on the porch and this was a disappointment. The next afternoon, which was our last, when we returned at 2:30 again our room had not been touched. I went and found the housekeeper who it seemed did not speak any English and just got towels and told her to forget about cleaning the room. I think that this comes down to not having enough staff. Breakfast was simple, and kind of boring after the second day. Cut up fruit, potatoes, scrambled eggs and bacon. Orange juice, coffee and a couple of other things. The real disappointment was the food service muffins. They need to step up their game. Had we stayed at a traditional bed and breakfast, I am sure that we would have had a full meal. I will say, they did not advertise this as anything but what was there. Sunday morning we splurged and went to La Ti Dah for a fantastic brunch. I would recommend this property, just be sure to put the main office phone number in your phone. You might need to call. Another thing. Any time that you want to go to the main resort just call and they will pick you up. We didn't make use of the facilities which include an oceanfront beach, but they are there and looked lovely. There is a small pool at Duval Gardens, (but no garden).Four of them could fit inside of a typical Florida backyard pool. All of the staff we meet were just lovely.

When checking into the hotel we were alerted that the private beach (which was the reason we chose this hotel) was closed because they were doing construction- which you could hear and see all day long. We also booked a room with a balcony so that we could have a cigarette and were alerted also upon check in that the resort is a non-smoking property. Amenities were fine, staff was less than helpful when asking questions. Had they advertised the resort was a non smoknig property and that the beach was closed we would have stayed elsewhere.
