The south seas exceeded my expectations in many ways. Starting with a friendly and prompt check in. We stayed in the beach condos, unit 2363 which was recently renovated. Super clean and spacious for a family of 4, our kids are 8 and 10, they had their own room and bathroom on the first floor and loved it. There is a nice balcony over looking the beach. The unit has a coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, etc. I would recommend stopping on your way to grab groceries, if not there is a small place right outside of the resort. At check in they give you a coupon book and it gives you 15% off which made the pricing reasonable considering the location. You must get a golf cart as well. We parked our car upon arrival and didn’t touch it got again until we left. The resort is big and if you rely on the trolley you will be waiting a while, bike rentals are also another option. It takes about 10 minutes to get from this room to the main pool. The main pools have a water slide and plenty of room with chairs and cabanas. The service poolside was great. The food was pretty good and cocktails were poured right. No coolers allowed by the pool but you can bring whatever you want in your bag and no one seemed to say anything. They offer activities right by the pool like parasailing, banana boat, jet skiing and you can rent fishing poles. We saw 2 huge sharks caught over the course of our trip right off the dock. There are multiple places to stay in the resort, if you want to be closer to the pool you can be, but then your further from the stores and restaurants. For me it wouldn’t matter, your on vacation so riding around on the golf cart enjoying the weather is part of the fun. The water at the resort is beautiful, the beaches are not crowded and they have towels and chairs. I felt like this is the most tropical place you can be at in the US and really felt like I was away on an island in the Caribbean. Hats off to all of the staff who was super accommodating and friendly. We will be back for sure!!

Booked this hotel as an affordable option on south beach with beach access and a pool. Was not expecting the Ritz, but this place disappointed on a few levels. Firstly the cleanliness of the room/bathroom was not good. There was mould around the bath tub and on the ceiling. I also found a dead cockroach in the bathroom one night. There was also mould on the bedroom windows. The bath was chipped on the bottom and plug did not work. I was with my toddler who needed to use the bath and I didnt feel comfortable letting him bath in the tub, so had to hold him under shower. The customer service was not great. Staff were friendly and amenable however when I informed them of the issues in the room they did not apologise! Or offer me anything to make up for it, the simply sent the cleaning team to do a deep clean which didn’t actually remove the mould! The facilities in general are extremely tired and dated. The carpets are gross. Outside areas were best. Two great heated pool lots of space and loungers and beautiful plants. Aswell as hot tub :) Beach loungers system is confusing and not clear which set belongs to the hotel and are you allowed an umbrella too? If not why not as we had paid resort fee to cover this!
