We stayed here for 3 nights last month while visiting the area. We didn't experience many of the issues mentioned in prior reviews. First, I honestly could care less about how nice the lobby is. It does have a weird layout but I never spend time in the lobby so I don't much care about the furniture there. There was coffee or flavored ice water available at all times and there is a little convenience store there. Front desk was always staffed and very friendly. The Hilton app worked just fine on my phone. Use this for the elevator and to access the pool and fitness center. We really enjoyed the fitness center and hot tub. I can't speak to the restaurant. There were so many cheaper options within walking distance that we never visited it. Parking is free and secured but it is kind of a pain that you have to cross the side street to access it. It's also not clearly labeled as Hilton usage so I drove around it twice before just assuming that was the parking lot. Better signage is needed. Room was clean with a good view. Hallway had an even better view. Only thing I wish the room had was a wireless phone charger. Lots of restaurants and shops around the corner in the downtown area. Yes, it was kind of "dead" but we visited in the summer. A college town usually isn't very busy during that time and we actually enjoyed how quiet it was. Bottom line, I had no major issues with this hotel and would return if back in the area just for the convenient location if nothing else.

“Poor / Fair - misrepresented on the internet”

This hotel was disappointing. The website pictures advertise a nice hotel restaurant and bar. They had neither. When we walked in the lobby I felt like I had walked into the dept of motor vehicles or some other drab gov't building. It was uninviting, cold and just looked nothing like a nice hotel lobby. There was a young man sleeping at a table in the lobby. Just odd. The [erson at the front desk who greeted me, was cold, unfriendly and acted like she had no idea why I could possibly be approaching the front desk. Her greeting was "Yes?"? like I was bothering her. The room was not terribly clean. Dirty carpet, one of the pillows smelled dirty. I had to get a new pillow cover and pillow case. In the morning, 2 out of 4 days when I went down for coffee, there was no coffee ready. It was 8:00 AM... so, that's odd. They told me to go to the breakfast room and ask them for a cup, until theirs was ready. The 4th day, they had no decaf coffee. On the positive side, the gym was exceptionally good. We had originally thought about trying to get out of the hotel and book somewhere else but stayed because the gym was so good and just made the best of it. For a Hilton brand, this was a very average / below average property.

I’ve been coming here annually for the last 12 years. My most recent visit, a man (guest?) followed me from the lobby, to my floor. I’ve been coming here annually for the last 12 years. My most recent visit, a man (guest?) followed me from the lobby, to my floor. He followed me to a point and the turned and ended up going some the stairs from there opposite end. My access card wouldn’t open my room so I was stuck out in the open and had to go back down to the lobby and explained to them what happened. They did switch my room but never apologized or checked on me. My badge stopped working five times during my stay. It wouldn’t provide me access from the side door from the street or to my room. HUGE safety issue and I just got an attitude about it from the girl at the front desk. Horrific experience.
