“elevator down for maintenance until mid june. no disclosure upfront.”

it's a solid hotel but there were some issues. first, no elevator service until middle of june. i understand they are going through maintenance but there needs to be a disclosure on every booking method they have (especially THEIR OWN) that says "no elevator service until 6/14" (or whatever the dat… more

The kindness, flexibility, and consistent effort to care for our needs gave us one place of safety and stability. Karen Egan was largely responsible for making this happen. We had to go back to her almost daily with changes and updates and she simply took on making it okay every time. From the first moment we spoke with her we could hear her humor, sensitivity, and competence. If not for her this time would have been much harder. Instead, we felt that each night we came home to a refuge. The room was a perfect size to spend this much time in, the staff was friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel felt very safe and quiet (even if it was a bit hard to find the first time), and I will recommend it and Sonesta in general to my friends. We have stayed in over 100 hotels over the last decade on vacations to a dozen countries and 35 states, though usually only a few nights each. Everything from castles to little roadside inns. We have never had the dedicated, professional, and compassionate service we got here. Not every bit of the walls, floor, furniture, or kitchen stuff was perfect, but keeping the price point in mind we got way more than we paid for.
