We just completed our one night stay in the Hampton Inn on Union Deposit Rd in Harrisburg. We stayed Saturday night. There was plenty of parking. The non smoking room was clean and comfortable. The sheets and towels, furniture, and carpet were clean. There was a small working refrigerator in the room that we used and it kept our drinks cold. The shower and bathroom was clean and the water was hot. We stayed on the 4th floor and there was not a lot of noise even though there were a few kids sports teams staying in the hotel that night. The free breakfast on Sunday morning was waffles, eggs, link sausage, juice, cereal, bagels, and some pastries. We enjoyed the breakfast and everything we ate was very good. Breakfast on Sunday morning was a bit hectic with all of the kids from the sports teams and their parents, but there was plenty of room and the staff kept up with the cleaning and resupply. We purchased some drinks from the hotel lobby store and even though they were a bit expensive ($3.50 per Diet Coke) but that option was very helpful and the drinks were cold. This front desk staff was quick, knowledgeable and helpful during the check in and check out process. If we had to comment on anything, we would request less fragrance in the hotel shower supplied shampoo and body gel. The hotel has an outdoor pool, but it was closed for the season.

EVERYONE who me, my husband and our son & daughter came in contact with at the Hampton Inn Harrisburg-East (Hershey Area) we friendly, helpful and kind. We felt welcome from the call in to ask about parking our travel trailer while still in route, to the remote not functioning properly, to breakfast and check out the next morning. The kindness and hospitality that was displayed by the staff showed and in turn was felt by the guests. So refreshing in these unsettled times. Thank you to all you wonderful people who take pride in what they do. With gratitude!

“Good stay”

We stayed for one night while traveling through the area. Check in was easy and our room was clean and comfortable. I appreciate having a bar of soap, not just the bottles of "goo," which have become popular. Breakfast was standard for Hampton.....the bagels were better than standard. The break… more

“A clean convenient and friendly stay”

We stopped to stay at this hotel on our way going and returning on our trip heading north. We were given room 321 going and returning room 217. The hotel not so long ago has been renovated, and everything seemed clean, fresh, bright and in good shape, with a modern feel in the decorations. The staff at the hotel seem pleasant, and always greeted the guest with a hello and goodbye with a smile. We were given water on both trips visiting, which was nice to receive. The Lobby has complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby all day long for guest to enjoy. There is also a complimentary bottle filling water fountain in the hotel lobby area. Our room on both visits were the same and they were both okay, with plenty of space on the size of the room, but the Queen Beds were on the small size, with a middle ground comfort level. There is no personal safe in the room. The bathroom has a sliding door that is shared with the small closet right next to it, and there is no lock on the sliding door. There was good water pressure and plenty of good hot water in the sink and shower, and there was also a small cabinet to be able to place your personal toiletries. The room has a small refrigerator and a small microwave, and a complimentary coffee pot. The hotel is conveniently near a supermarket and other stores in the area. The area felt safe. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, and an outdoor patio seating area that is not next to the outdoor pool. The hotel has one meeting room, and also a fitness room that has two sides of equipment, and there is a complimentary business section, and also there is a small guest laundry room, also there is a full laundromat right next door to the hotel, but the laundromat has nothing to do with the hotel it is just a convenience if needed. The complimentary breakfast was adequate with both hot and cold items.
