“A great hotel to use for your wedding block”

I stayed at this Hampton Inn location for my wedding hotel block. We were given a very good group rate and we were extremely satisfied by the cleanliness, location, and amenities. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

It's a Hampton Inn. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. The pillows had the usual firmness of marshmallows. On the other hand, the mattresses were firm, allowing for a pleasant sleep. It's a Hampton Inn. The room was clean, cool, and comfortable. The pillows had the usual firmness of marshmallows. On the other hand, the mattresses were firm, allowing for a pleasant sleep. There aren't many businesses to shop or eat nearby. However, go a few miles down 50 East or West to find what you need. Although there's no Wawa, there's a Sheetz about two miles east. In addition to being near Dulles International, it's a straight drive on 50 East to Washington DC.

“After midnight arrival - and they still sent the shuttle”

Due to a tech problem, my flight didn’t arrive into Dulles till 11.25pm. Then there was the whole immigration fiasco with only three desks open for an a380 arrival. However, my luggage was on the conveyor, and I was outside by 00.40 hrs. I phoned the hotel, and they immediately sent the shuttle out to pick me up. The van arrived at 1am, and I was at the hotel and checked in by 1.30am. This 24 hr approach to shuttle service deserves a medal. I was given a room on one of the top floors a bit far from the lift (I’m on a walking stick) , but the staff did help me with my suitcase, which I was grateful. The room was standard Hampton inn..a big comfortable bed, compact shower room, tv etc. I always like to see tea/coffee making facilities, and it was there and well stocked. I was down for breakfast by 8.15, and the breakfast room was busy. Personally I was a bit disappointed in the offering compared to European chain hotels. However, the tortilla espanola were tasty and not greasy, and the muffins I enjoyed. Check out was easy - I found all the staff super friendly. I was off to the Udvar-Hazy museum, and the hotel will take you there if booked in advance, which I think is a super bonus. Overall a good airport stopover hotel.

I’ve always been a Hampton Inn Customer and Hilton Honors member. I have to say this was NOT a pleasant experience. The desk staff seemed very confused about procedures, the breakfast crew 4 days in a row) did not have enough food prepared (and there was not a crowd and it was at 9 am, so they were not at the end of the serving period), I was hung up on when I called to ask about re-upping my reservation for one additional night and then when I called back 3 different times to try to get an answer, the didn’t answer the phone. Oh, and the beds were awful…hard and not the usual standard Hampton Inn comfortable beds I’m used to. Very disappointed.
