“Checks all the boxes”

Everything a hotel should be- clean, comfortable, nice sized rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean grounds. I don't give many 5 star reviews, but they deserve it. Also window opens for fresh air. Not your basic airport hotel. Located in a nice area.

Everything first class. Clean room, new carpet. Excellent staff. Breakfast good. Free room upgrade because we achieved new Diamond membership. Large parking spots, little or no airport noise. Thank you for providing a wastebasket for recycle in the room.

Super clean and affordable. Friendly staff. I like their noon checkout. Nice location by the airport.

This property is next to the local airport but it is low-traffic and the sound insulation is great. The staff at check in (Laura) and check out (Allison) were warm and friendly. The hotel renovation is about 50% done yet I was assigned to an old room, despite booking three nights and it was so-so occupancy. The shower tile had lots of mildew and my room was missing a significant piece of standard furniture. I only learned at check-out that most of the rooms are missing this piece but it would have helped if I was told that at check-in so I could have insisted on a renovated room. Why would someone paying a solid rate and staying for 3 nights be given a non-renovated room? It defies logic: you want to make a good impression on someone staying awhile so you should put your best foot forward with a nice room. The bedding and bed linens were in good shape. The mattress was firm, which is how I prefer it. Lighting and window shades were in good working order. Housekeeping is only every third day of stay or after a guest checks out. Laura did offer to have a room refresh done on my second morning but I canceled it. Used towels can be exchanged at the front desk as needed. The breakfast could be varied since it didn't change in the 3 days and it could be beefed up to offset the renovation look through the hotel (signage is on the floor). For the rate that I paid, I could have stayed at the Home2 Suites near Lambeau, which I did on a prior trip - I'm usually loyal to Hilton properties but gave this a chance. At the Home2 Suites, you get to use real plates and flatware. The property is modern and the cleanliness standard is superior. If the Wingate wants to up their game by renovating, they should also prepare to get better at listening to guests and providing service. The economy is tough for leisure travelers - we will want to spend our dollars to get maximum value. I'm less likely to book here or at any other Wyndham property in the future.
