“Not really at the airport though nearby”

It is located near the airport and the hotel provides shuttle service with a comfortable van. Not noisy. Rates are reasonable. The staff are friendly. Vending machines available at the entrance. The facilities are somewhat in need of upgrading.

Very different stay here. Lots of good and bad. The inside of the hotel is nice. The outside is in need of a facelift. The Club lounge was great for breakfast. The lady working up there is great. In the evening was different. The guy was very nice. But the other workers would come up and eat from the buffet ( very strange). Don’t care if they want some food but need to wait until after 8pm when the buffet is over for guests. Sometimes the food was pulled before 8pm and totally cleaned up ( when there was food still ). The front desk oh what a strange mix. One person would be extremely nice and helpful. Then the next person would be extremely rude. I was very taken back by this. None of the workers wore name tags so we could not speak to the manager about who the ladies were that were rube and disrespectful. The restaurant downstairs in the mornings is OK, basically all the girls do is ask for your voucher and walk off and go sit in a corner and talk with each other. For dinner food was very good and staff is great. Not sure we will be back for long periods again.

I stayed here once before in 2021 and it literally was just to plop into bed, sleep, shower then grab a shuttle to catch an early morning flight so I didn't have time to really examine the hotel. This time around I had an evening arrival but a midday departure the next day so not being a rush, I was able to really look around. First the location: it, and many other hotels in the area are to serve the airport only. There is nothing around it walking-wise but perhaps if one had a car, something could be within driving distance. The shuttle was a bit of a hassle getting from the airport to the hotel but wasn't so bad in reverse. I was grateful for the ESIM that I bought before hand or else I would have had to catch an over charged taxi. Two gentlemen on the shuttle the next morning had to do that and they were charged $40 to go no more than 7kms by the taxi drive as a "flat rate". I booked a corner room for the feeling of space. Glad I did because I forgot just how small the rooms there are. A big bed, love seat, desk, a mini-fridge were all included plus a coffee maker which was a nice touch but there was not a lot of space otherwise. I didn't notice how small the room was back in 2021 probably because of how tired I was then. The bed was comfortable and the towels were good quality too. The windows are not the most sound proof so there was airplane noise, which again, I didn't notice in 2021. The furniture had wear and tear and I think the entire hotel overall is in need of a refresh. It isn't horrible, but certainly, the age is showing. I had breakfast as well the next morning and it wasn't too bad. Check in agent was very nice and personable while the check-out agent, despite there being no line, rushed me through the process and I could barely ask about the return shuttle before I got the hint that she wanted me away from the front desk. After being there twice, if I have another layover in Dallas, I think I will examine one of the other hotels in the area, for difference, and perhaps something a little more modern.
