“Accommodation right on the Rim Trail”
Our 2nd floor room at Kachina Lodge (no elevator) was in a perfect position for viewing the canyon, including sunrise, and for walking on the Rim Trail (and also not far from the Bright Angel Trail into the canyon). Rooms are not serviced daily. Check in/out is handled at El Tovar; while this i… more

The positives: steps to rim, easy location in the Village to walk to shops, restaurants, shuttle, etc., comfy beds, mini fridge, A/C, ice maker and water bottle filing station in lobby, lounge overlo… more

“Good for a night or two”

If just passing through for a night this is your best bet. If staying longer plan way ahead and stay at the El Tovar and make reservations at th… more

“Great location”
A lodge with a superb location, meters from the edge of the Grand Canyon. Rooms with a slightly older interior but everything worked and the view towards the Grand Canyon was a big plus. The central location itself had a great impact on our opportunities and experiences during our stay. The short d… more
