This little motel-turned-into-a-gem surprised us. To be honest, when we initially drove by, we almost decided to forfeit our night's reservation and just try to find somewhere else to stay. We used to live in Los Angeles and were dismayed to realize that I had made a reservation at...THAT place. But the current management has worked wonders. Everything is clean, updated and as beautiful as possible with lots of delightful and unexpected design details. There was a complete mural on the ceiling of our room--lovely. Outside, at the edge of what is just a concrete parking area, the managers have carved out a little space of serenity with greenery and a lovely park bench. All the extra little touches have turned an older and potentially tired property into a place with class and beauty. We'll be back when we visit LA again.

We’ve spend the first 3 nights of our trip through California in this motel, in which we had a good stay. We stayed in a room at the ground floor. We’ve spend the first 3 nights of our trip through California in this motel, in which we had a good stay. We stayed in a room at the ground floor. The room was clean and big, had a kingsize bed and coffeemaker, watercooker, microwave, fridge and mini freezer. Free private parking with enough space. We felt save in the area, target and (coffee) restaurants are within walking distance. Less than a 30 minute drive to Universal studio’s, Warner Brothers and Hollywood. Approximately 10 min drive to the Shopping mall in Glendale. Only negative experience we’ve had was the sound of the drinking machine at the parking lot during the night. We woke up multiple times because of the noise.

Our room was very nice and spacious, with a big bathroom and a comfortable bed. The shower was excellent and there were plenty of products provided. The room itself gets five stars. I'd happily stay in any hotel room like this one any time. The lady who checked us in was welcoming and helpful, and she explained how to use our wifi codes (a different code for each device). However, we didn't think the location was particularly great . Downtown (and in particular Dodger Stadium, which was the main purpose of our visit) turned out to be a fairly expensive Lyft ride. And there's a reason why we needed that. This hotel claims to have free parking, and it does, but what they don't tell you is that there's nowhere near enough spaces for all the rooms. There's only about 12 spaces in the entire lot, and that's not even close to being enough. So we didn't dare to use our car for fear of losing our spot, hence needing alternative transport to get everywhere. When we returned from the baseball game later that evening, all the spaces were full and we were glad we hadn't driven. So - we loved the room, and if this place had more parking (and maybe some breakfast too), it'd be a slam dunk five stars. But four will have to suffice!
