“Rough reno, Great staff!”

The resort was being renovated so a lot of amenities were down, but the manager / concierge MELISSA was so amazing that it made our stay wonderful. She went out of her way and was kind & generous above and beyond what was expected. I hope she gets a promotion/raise. Thx

We are cuttently staying here until the 4th. The staff is great. The hotel is under renovation and 3/4 of the hotel is closed down. There are no balcony rooms at this time. The restaurant and bar is closed, and there are no vending or ice machines. Our room is very clean, but it is missing a dresser or desk of some type to put your stuff on. The bed is super comfortable, but the pillows suck. The shower is small and is only half of a shower door, so water gets on the floor. Also the shower needs some type of grip material because it is very slippery and I almost fell multiple times. The staff is wonderful. We would stay here again once renovations are complete and the hotel is back to operational again. Parking is not free like the website states, and parking is very limited. Overall I think this will be a great hotel once completed.

First I want to give kudos to the front desk manager Melissa she was nothing but very pleasant and accommodating to us for everything. This property is under much-needed renovations so yes, the place is under construction, but it has to get done. Two of the buildings have already been updated and we stayed in one of the updated rooms and although it’s nicer than it was it seems as though the new property owners are trying to cut corners and not really considering the guest experience in their design, for example they weren’t any hooks to hang your bath towel when you were done with it this should be a no-brainer also the placement of a very small desk right at the front door and putting an oversize chair that does not fit underneath the desk was little cumbersome coming in with the luggage also maybe getting lamps that have phone charges built-in would be convenient for the guest as well some of the room has been updated, but they left the old doors and the old toilet that doesn’t flush so it’s kind of a half assed job my opinion . The pool is decent a little on the small side but it is clean and refreshing. The lounge chairs are all cracked and need to be replaced and that waterfall must be from the 1970s. It’s ugly and outdated and hopefully they will incorporate a new one into their renovations. Tiki bar and restaurant right next to the pool are closed and under renovations. For your convenience-There is a CVS. a supermarket and a place to eat breakfast and lunch literally right across the street but we did not have a bad experience here despite the construction, we would stay here again, unless you can find a better deal in the area with walking distance to the beach it’s not a bad price. This is NOT a four-star resort at the moment it’s a three star at best and thats a stretch-once the renovations are done, definitely a 3 star and if they stop cutting corners and pay attention to basic details like towel, hooks, and storage and space for toiletries, maybe they can get to a 4 star and one last thing if you want a late check out, you have to call the morning of your check out date starting at 8:30 and request the late check out the whole point of late check out is for me to sleep in if I have to wake up at 8:30 to make a phone call it kind of defeats the purpose so maybe management should reconsider this silly rule
