My first stay at this Hotel was in the 1970 s. Despite numerous renovations I still like the Mid Century Modern interiors of the 1970s version best. In those days the style was sleek danish modern with ocean blue fabric and a sparce decor that was impeccable. It was the look of James Bond and Ray Ban sunglasses. This is the look the hotel should return to. It reflects the exterior style and is a favorite for all ages. The Mid Century Modern interiors are timeless. The location is the finest and no other Hotel in Fort Lauderdale can rival the 66. A water taxi away from secret beaches, Conch fritters and beer followed by an exquisite cheeseburger. It is heaven and you ought to go and visit. Try off season and enjoy being caught in a summer downpour that will leave you dried in an hour and on your way to the pool. Walking the docks at sunset is divine with the sound of a steel drum band in the distance and a cocktail in your hand. I love this Hotel.

We went there as a family and I cannot say enough about the service. From the time you are seated, you are treated like royalty. The food is THE BEST!! If 5 stars is the best there is, then this place gets 6 stars. You will not be disappointed. Many celebrities who pass through South Florida eat here, Steven Spielberg is known to keep his yacht at the marina there, and the view of the marina and the water is breathtaking. Ambiance is most romantic. Both the Filet Mignon and lobster are excellent. This is a must do if you are in South Florida; it is located off of A1A in Fort Lauderdale.

“Nice”

Nice hotel but expensive. It was in a very nice area and is a large hotel. We were there from the UK for a wedding and had a lot of family and friends all staying at the hotel so got it a bit cheaper as a group

“It has seen better days”

If your going to stay here avoid the tower. The "smaller: bungalows are in a tropical paradise around the pool and are a much better stay. The tower may be iconic but it is in need of refurbishment. the restaurant is way over priced, but the filet mignon is worth it.
