“Amazing newly renovated hotel right on the beach”

We recently returned from a beautiful week at the ocean sky hotel in Fort Lauderdale. It’s just been fully renovated and the decor is nice and bright and modern. The location is amazing and literally right on the ocean. The bed was comfortable and the balcony ocean views were a great relaxing way to enjoy our morning coffee. The staff was so kind and welcoming and the pool deck had very comfortable chairs and unbeatable views. The pool was nice and warm as well. The location is fantastic right on the galt ocean mike next to many restaurants and a grocery shop. There is commercial boulevard about fifteen minutes walk away filled with a fun nightlife atmosphere. The calm beach was so nice. We really enjoyed our stay.

“Fabulous long weekend ”
I absolutely love this place! Staff is friendly, and food/drinks are always fresh. The pool, hot tub, and beach access are perfect! We've been here about 4 times, and we are never disappointed! And jet skiing is a blast! Can't wait till the next visit!

If you can get past minor issues Ocean Sky is solid. 5/5 for location (on beach, between Ft. Lauderdale beach and Lauderdale by the sea), elevators, pool, room balcony, and staff. Property was very clean and area was quiet. The issues? If little things make you mental this might not be the place for you. Shower only lukewarm, no paper or digital channel guide for tv, slight dripping noise heard in room from exterior ac unit. Room was modern, comfortable bed, had all standard amenities. I’d have no qualms about staying here again, if being on beach worth slight sacrifice on hotel quality you are good. If small items are concern then prob better staying off beach for similar $$.

“A mixed experience”
We stayed here 2 nights, immediately before and after a cruise. We booked through the cruise line and apparently they used Priceline to book it. We stayed here 2 nights, immediately before and after a cruise. We booked through the cruise line and apparently they used Priceline to book it. The first night the keys didn’t work and the door jammed every time we tried to open it when the we got new keys. The TV didn’t work and the man who looked at it was aware of the problem and said it couldn’t be fixed without tearing out the wall. Strangely, the water in the shower started suddenly and ran for about a minute before stopping. The good things were that the bed was comfortable and the breakfast and service with Inno was great. The second day we arrived early and were given the ability to use the pool area until our room was ready, and they checked our bags for us. Once again we had a great breakfast. We were checked into our room a little early which was nice, but a couple hours later a woman unlocked the door and walked into our room and said she was given our room. She left but because they coded new keys for her, our keys no longer worked and we had to go get new ones. I would have hoped for a more seamless experience, but there were some positive aspects that helped to offset the negative. Not sure if I would stay here again though.
