Friendly staff and very clean! I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Flagstaff, unless they have toddler age children. There is no bathtub or elevator and the sitting area for breakfast has bar height table and chairs, but if you don't have very small children, it is an awesome choice!

“Highly recommend!”

This was a nice place to stay for a great price. Friendly staff, clean rooms, bedding didn’t smell bad like it has at other high priced rooms we have stayed in. Highly recommend

“Dropping off daughter at NAU”

This was my first trip to Flagstaff, as I was dropping off my daughter for her first year at NAU. I loved the proximity of this hotel to the campus, but I have never stayed in a place that did not have any curtains. The only window covering was a shade that could be drawn, but there was no filter from the sunlight nor from the street lamps! I also was left puzzled on whether people in the hotel next door could see into my room since I could see out. The late check-in staff was helpful and location was great as I said, but I don't think I would stay here again simply because of the lack of any blackout curtains.

This motel was truly a mix of good and bad. GOOD: The rooms were nice with comfortable beds, lots of pillows, updated furnishings, a large TV, frig, microwave, cold AC and a fantastic shower. The staff was all very friendly, smiling, helpful and welcoming. This is the first time we ever got a call to our room the first night of our 2 night stay to see how we liked the room and to let us know they were available 24/7 by dialing 0. That was a very nice touch. BAD: There were a lot of motels in the area in the same price range, but we specifically chose this one because the photos showed the room amenities included a large sitting chair with arms in the room. My husband has back issues and this was important to him for comfort. When we arrived there was only an armless office chair which we could have gotten anywhere. He had to bring in an lawn chair with arms that we had in the car. The morning breakfast was disappointing. There were 7 bar height tables which are difficult to sit in for short people like me or those with back problems like my husband. The tables were packed into a small area and the bar stools had flared bottoms which were hard to negotiate and caused a tripping hazard, especially while trying to carry a paper plate and coffee. When we attempted to sit on the high stools, the table itself was wobbly, tipped and spilled our coffees... twice. The butter was too cold to spread on toasted bagels. The peanut butter had separated within the package and the oranges looked marred and very unappetizing. Despite the motel touting their location as being near the I-40, there was no exits to get to the motel easily from the I-40. We had to drive 2 miles down the freeway, turn around and then 2 miles back on a frontage road to get there. There were homeless people living in the abandoned IHOP next door that were visible from our room. There was a bit of road noise at night as well as heavy footsteps from the room above. We had to turn on our fan to drown out the noise. Another irritation was returning to the motel after a morning of exploring the local national parks. We had wanted to take a nap, but they were doing remodeling on the exterior of the building directly outside our room so it was way too noisy to sleep. Despite the good points, if we traveled to Flagstaff again we would look for a motel that better met our needs.
