“Very clean and comfortable”

We stayed here for one night and had a great time! Check-in was easy. The room was clean and very large! Beds were amazing! Soooooooo comfortable! Breakfast was great too! There were a lot of options and staff preparing it was very friendly! If I am back in the area I will stay here again.

“Meh hotel”

Rooms are not maintained well. I had a “suite” where the carpet was super dirty and the microwave was not working. Average at best and I’m sure you can find a better deal elsewhere. Also, the parking lot is flooded in many areas. It really just needs some tlc.

Not the best, room needed a lot of maintenance. Shades broken so room would not go dark, desk lamp broken, toilet running and not flushing. Room should not have been rented but it was too late for me to know that. This hotel is also a little far away from any decent restaurants, there are some fast food but they are not that close either. If I'm back in the area this will not be my first choice.

“Disappointing stay but helpful staff”

We stayed two nights at this HI Express in early October. The room was clean and comfortable with standard, as expected, Holiday Inn furnishings and amenities. Staff were generally helpful and friendly. I was disappointed, though, in several things. The window in our first floor room was cracked. The website said the pool was closed so we did not bring our suits but people were swimming so that was another disappointment. On day one, cinnamon rolls were kind of stale but other breakfast items were good. However, on our second day, the breakfast ran out of cinnamon rolls - how does that happen when that is a signature item at a Holiday Inn Express? They also did not have eggs ready and guests had to wait and then there was a rush for the eggs; very disappointing. We also had random added charges to our credit card both nights, first for $11 and change, and second night for $111 and change. When we spoke to the front desk about this, they were helpful & explained it was a software glitch, but still, that should not happen! (The random extra charges did drop off our credit card without further problem as they indicated it would.) Overall, though they seem to have a mostly good staff, the hotel is just not up to standards. With many other good choices, including a comparably priced mid-level hotel across the street, hotels need to get it right all the time, and this failed to meet my expectations.
