we reserved for one week, however, we had to leave after we stayed for 3 days. it's a quiet place in the mountains, there is a hiking trail by following the side of the properties. we had a nice walk with my little girl and my dog. The snow ski places hasn't open yet. there are several small water falls along 209, but we didn't get time to see.

“The Good, the Bad and You Decide”

Let's start with the positives: beds and pillows are super comfy. The remote in one room didn't work, but the one from the other bedroom did the job. Let's start with the positives: beds and pillows are super comfy. The remote in one room didn't work, but the one from the other bedroom did the job. The "condo" is nice, a bit dated but relatively comfortable. The screened in porch is great. Parking is easy. The kitchen came well stocked with newer pots/pans, corning ware, flatware, glasses and plates/bowls. If you want to bbq, bring charcoal and a lighter. There are stores very close by for various needs. There are two sofas, one is a sofa-bed and seems very old and look dirty. Upon lifting a cushion, we found leftover cookies and crumbs as well as some serious stains. I would not want to be sleeping on the pull out and was not overly comfortable sitting on them. On the negative side: I would hope in this day and age that there would be cans for recyclables as well as trash. The most important negative involves the pool. It is posted that there is no lifeguard and that adults are responsible for their children. True. However, there is only one life preserver that I could see at the shallow end against the stairs. While I was in the deeper end (6ft), a young lady about 11-12 yrs old was obviously drowning. Fortunately, I was able to grab ahold of her and get us both to the wall where I helped to boost her up to waiting hands. She was scared and upset, as were her grandparents. There was no life preserver nearby. There was no rope separating the deep end from the shallower section. That rope could have been the difference between her getting into 6 feet of water vs. 4 feet. There should be at least 4 life preservers, one at each side of the pool, as well as a life pole which would offer another way to help save a struggling swimmer or non-swimmer. Finally, if Wyndham would ease on the hard sell, it would be greatly appreciated. As an owner, I would be fine with updates via email. I realize this doesn't do the job of upselling, but as an adult, I am very capable of deciding for myself, with the proper information, whether or not I want to buy more points or upgrade. I don't need "free" gifts" that aren't really free, but hooks to entice you to spend more money. Respecting your owners would go a long way.

We booked our vacation late for the Poconos, maybe February or so, so we didn't have a lot of choices. I chose this despite some of the horrible reviews because there were still enough positive ones. I give it 3 stars, as it was unexceptional but nowhere near the disaster that some other reviewers apparently experienced. The rooms are a decent size. The furnishings are ordinary but comfortable. If you want modern this won't be it, but it's a place to crash so I didn't care too much about it. The unit was clean, no bugs in sight. The appliances looked old, but all worked. The washer/dryer stack looked newer and worked well. A nice feature is the screened-in patio, which is even screened from below, so no critters get in. We had one day of heavy rain, and it was nice to sit out there. The location is excellent, close to the highways, restaurants, shopping and activities. We made some use of the rec rooms, a good distraction when you're on the property. There's an indoor basketball court that's also used for volleyball. We only used the pool once. Not sure why, some days were scorching hot, but we traveled with grandkids and did whatever they wanted. There's no snack bar/coffee shop kind of place for a quick bite. There's a truck by the pool that sells bbq-type food at reasonable prices. Parking wasn't a problem. Other reviewers complained about it, maybe they were in other sections. We were in Ridge Top. Housekeeping was responsive when we needed more sundries, like detergent, etc.
