Residence Inn is our preferred choice, but the Duluth location is in serious need of some some room maintenance and staff training. We had no hangers in either bedroom, no sound on the living room TV, dim lighting, the tub took hours to drain, the base boards were a mess, they came to clean, took all the towels and left one clean towel, emptied the trash and I found the replacement plastic bag in my make-up bag, the hallways smelled of cooking, the hot breakfast was out of eggs, sausage & English muffins... I could go on, but the point is, I don't expect this from a Marriott. They charge for parking which is unnecessary since they are in the suburbs and have their own lot. Just a way to make money. We have stayed here many times in the past 10 years and the hotel has gone way down hill. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast person was stressed out and snapped at me, when I asked about the missing hot foods. We will be searching for other lodging when visiting Atlanta.

This hotel was not at all what I expected from a Marriott. It's obvious that many coming in and out of this property are more "residents" than overnight stays. Clientele was sketchy at best. This hotel was not at all what I expected from a Marriott. It's obvious that many coming in and out of this property are more "residents" than overnight stays. Clientele was sketchy at best. We didn't even want to leave our things in our room while we were at our meeting nearby. The "residents" or guests (?) Are comfortable parking their cars in the middle of the lines taking up more than one space in prime parking spots. Rooms need some serious TLC where paint is worn, attention to detail with cleaning . We were placed in a handicapped accessible room where the shower head was half way down the wall with no way to adjust it up any higher . That was fun for my 6'4" husband. The smell of marijuana in the hall - the traffic up and down the halls - Nope. Never again. The staff was nice and accommodating, but still - never again. Outside needs to be pressure washed and cleaned up, paint refreshed.
