With this being our first time staying at this Double Tree hotel, my husband and I was appreciative of the nice front desk staff when checking in and the consideration given to us for the hot tub. The room was clean and neat with trees nestled outside for a quiet view. “Great for the night before an early airport departure”

This Doubletree is typical for the brand, easy in and easy out. The lobby was more attractive than many with nice seating areas and a gas fireplace. The restaurant had a good selection with okay food. The room was clean, well furnished and with good WiFi. We didn’t use the airport shuttle but were glad to see on our way out at 4:30ish that it was already running.

“Doubletree more of a conference hotel”

This Doubletree appears to be more of a conference hotel than a family vacation facility. Older facility but met our needs. Close to our family in East Syracuse. The hotel staff were very cordial & helpful. The inhouse restaurant was very busy for the morning breakfast but handled the crowd well.

“OK room but details missing…”

The checkin person was sweet but I wonder if she gave us a room meant for a couple. I discovered that they had provided only two large towels, which had been already used by other family members. It’s a bit awkward to call room service when you’re wet and naked. I ended up using an already wet towe… more

The checkin person was sweet but I wonder if she gave us a room meant for a couple. I discovered that they had provided only two large towels, which had been already used by other family members. It’s a bit awkward to call room service when you’re wet and naked. I ended up using an already wet towel. However perhaps the lack of towels was best because the hook on the bathroom door was a single prong - four towels wouldn’t have fit on it anyway. Also, whoever the housekeeper was, the shower gel was empty which doesn’t help when you’re in the middle of a shower… Finally, whoever furnished the room obviously never went to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It’s awkward to navigate in the complete dark. A nightlight in the bathroom would have been helpful. The room itself was nice and clean but while there were cookies, other details - towels, shower gel, hooks, and a nightlight - would have improved our stay more.
