“Best Residence Inn ever”

What a wonderful Residence Inn. It has two full rooms: the bedroom and the living room with adjacent FULL kitchen. It is head and shoulders better than other residence inns we have stayed at. We’re here for only one night but it would be an excellent place for a longer stay.

First off I will start by saying I booked this hotel my mistake, there is a residence inn by Marriott about 2 blocks from Disneyland that I thought I booked. This one is about 8 city blocks, and yes we did one day of walking it to Disney and back. It's doable but exhausting with babies. This hotel was great, the staff is all super friendly. Especially the manager Lani, she's so nice and personable. There is only one entrance and 2 elevators that moved a little slow at times. It was $28 a night for parking but they have plenty of parking. The hotel room was a tad bit smaller than we expected but again I mistakenly booked the wrong hotel. The room had a full kitchen, residential size range and over the range microwave, a nice top freezer refrigerator and a dishwasher. The dishwasher racks were rusted and look as though it's time to replace them. The kitchen has set of 4 silverware, 4 small cups, 4 large and yes they are glass. 4 coffee cups, set of 4 plates and bowls. Steak knives and pots and pans. Coffee maker, trash cans and even a scrub mommy with a small bottle of Palmolive dish soap. The beds were very comfortable and had actual thick down comforters on them. It was amazing to have an actual comforter instead of those thin sheets most hotels use as blankets. 4 pillows to each bed and they were very comfortable. The pull out couch was even comfortable. The bathroom was still dated and seemed to have water damage on the walls and washed out grout on the floor. The water pressure and water temperature in the shower were phenomenal. The breakfast had a great variety and plenty of seating. The pool was nice, it was 3 and 4 feet. They also had a 1 feet baby pool and a great hot tub. There is also a BBQ area, outdoor patio furniture, a fire pit and a basketball half court. We loved our stay and were pleasantly please we mixed it up. We will definitely stay again.

“Nice”

Great Hotel. Great location, good breakfast. Nice clean rooms, friendly staff. Loved the welcome bag of goodies in our room. We had a suite, kitchen living room and separate bedroom. Nice bar downstairs. Close to Disneyland resort area. No views. Just a great home base.

My wife and I brought our eleven year old daughter to Disneyland for her Spring Break. We used a travel agent to book us three days in Disneyland with Disney Genie+ service along with a four night (4th night free with 3 nights booked) stay at this hotel as a Friend of Disney. The hotel was in decent shape, but definitely showing some signs of wear on the exterior and interior. Our room was a nice size, a king suite with a separate bedroom/bathroom for our daughter, and had a kitchen with fridge, cooktop, microwave and dishwasher. The dishes were NOT clean, so they all got a thorough cleaning before use. The bathrooms were a bit worn - our tub had some stains, and our ensuite sink drained very...slowly. We had requested room servicing every other day, and our second room servicing was not done - we had a weird interaction with the cleaning lady at 5:27PM asking if our room had been cleaned that day, and when we asked for the room to be cleaned, she declined and said that she was off in three minutes. There was a breakfast included with the package, and this was a nice perk. The breakfast area was busy all four mornings of our stay, and had a decent variety of cold (cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc.) and hot options (scrambled eggs, pancakes, toast, sausages, skillets, or chorizo/tortillas), three waffle stations, two juice bar stations, and coffee/tea. The front desk staff were very helpful with tips on getting to Disneyland via Anaheim Rapid Transit (ART). Daily passes were $6 per day for each of us, easily accessible on South Harbor Bvld out front of the hotel (#3), or by walking over to the Hilton Garden Inn just to the north. There were a number of restaurant options within easy walking distance of the hotel within half a block, and we went to the Outback Steakhouse, La Casa Garcia, and Masala Craft on three of our nights for dinner. Overall, the hotel was a positive part of our Spring Break surprise for our daughter, but definitely not a clean and polished experience.
