“Parking problems polluted our experience...”
Several things were very right about this resort: price; location, near bars, restaurants, attractions, and shopping; and the floor plan, which made this one-bedroom condo very convenient to accommodate three people. Several things were very right about this resort: price; location, near bars, restaurants, attractions, and shopping; and the floor plan, which made this one-bedroom condo very convenient to accommodate three people. The kitchen was well outfitted. No dishwasher, but there was not enough space for one. Oddly, there was no wastebasket, so we hung a trash bag under the sink. The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries. Both the indoor and the outdoor pools were under repair from Hurricane Ian damages, as are the pools in most of the hotels on Daytona Beach. It was too cold to swim anyway, so it was not important. The one issue which would make me think twice about staying here again was the parking. There was a huge attached parking garage, which was gated and locked so there was no access. Parking near the entrance was very limited, with many spaces marked "no parking." My friend's car was towed from the property, resulting in a disruption of our activities and a stiff $222 fee. There had been no one to talk to about the parking when we arrived, often no one at the desk. Some clear instructions or advice at the outset would have prevented this from happening, and a call to my friend to advise her that her car was about to be towed would have been appropriate and appreciated. The towing incident cast a pall over our otherwise enjoyable stay.
