I stayed at LaQuinta Alvarado 4 times over the course of 2 months. 1st time was my first Wyndham stay as a platinum customer. I didn't know what to expect, but the nice Caucasian lady at the front desk gave me a little treat bag with a honey bun, 2 peppermints, two mini waters and a granola bar. Not a whole lot but I was tickled to death and late check out. 😊 The 2nd time I stayed, I brought my puppy. Same lady. Same treat bag. 3rd time, I stayed the owner was behind the desk. East Indian, mean spirited individual. He spoke to me completely different from the lady who dealt with me the first two times. Didn't offer me the little treat bag. When I asked about the treats, he said Platinum customers don't get that. I said really...because I got it twice already. Long story short, he gave me the little bag minus the honey bun. Which is the best part of the whole thing. But I had a birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and I had to go get dressed. Today, Sept 14, 2024, I checked in with a different Indian guy. He wasn't as hateful and rude until...WHAT??...yeah, you guessed it...I asked about the little bag for Platinum customers. He didn't say no, like the first East Indian guy. He started ranting about not having any bags, even though I remembered where the nice Caucasian lady got the little bags from. This guy starts rudely yanking the doors under the counter open. Like he's looking for the bags. Funny. He comes back and didn't offer me the treats in one of the all black grocery bags right there under the computer screen?? "I'll fix you up something tomorrow" he sneered in his most nasty, foul snake hiss he could muster up. But get this; He was practically tap dancing for the white people who wasn't even tenured customers. Which that's not the customers fault. But it was a stark difference from what I was able to see hanging around walking back and forth trying to get a eyeball on the situation. I'll be 50 in a few months. I know how to navigate the landscape of America and all it's classism, racism and what ever spirits people find themselves being used by. If we accept that a woman can find a guy to be creepy, then when I tell you I find a situation to be distasteful according to me, it shouldn't be disregarded.

“Wonder place and amazing staff”

Place is clean the beds are so comfortable .The breakfast was satisfying and the staff were very friendly. I definitely recommend

My husband and I had driven 1337 miles (20 hrs from Virginia to Alvarado, TX) to purchase an RV. We booked a hotel room at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham located at 1165 US-67, Alvarado, TX. Upon entering the premises, I was greeted by a young lady (the desk clerk) by the name of Melissa. Ms. Melissa is truly a lady with a "WINNING" personality. She made sure that my husband and I, along with our pets were as comfortable as possible. She went above and beyond exhibiting "Southern hospitality." This young lady is what customer service is all about; she should be promoted and given a nice raise. Melissa, an RV owner herself was also able to give my husband and me a voluminous amount of tips, as we are new to the RVing world. Additionally, our room was clean, nice, and spacious, and breakfast which was offered had a wide variety of food. If we're ever in Alvarado, TX again and Ms. Melissa is still there, I will be staying here again. Thank you, La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham and Ms. Melissa.
