“I recommend this stay”

Canvas is the perfect spot. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and had great location ! My friends and I LOVED Cyrus and Jacob! They helped make our stay enjoyable. Be aware of terrible parking and pricy rooftop drink and food prices

“Excellent!”

We were given a corner room and the view was excellent of the city! Everything was nice and clean and the vibe of the whole hotel was definitely welcoming and modern urban. Breakfast was delicious too! Definitely felt homemade. I included photos of our room and breakfast.

I WAS so excited about my stay here. Then the very things that excited me are the same things that will make me not return. Free parking… extremely limited. I arrived and was told all the spaces with cones are valet, which is most of the lot. Please note, guests from the small club next door, share the parking lot. Additional parking is in an alley or a lot behind the hotel. Pool… small, in the direct sun, and closes at dusk. Around the pool: dirty with plates, food, cups, and spilled drinks that remained for hours following the 1-6pm pool party. Worn/dirty patio furniture I was not allowed to bring my water to the pool area. I was told people put liquor in water bottles so I then asked if security at the door wanted to smell it. They declined and made me store my water on a the book shelf near the door. Cost… I was charged an additional $400 for incidentals and told the money would be refunded in 3 to 5 days. I booked a second reservation with a $100 deposit for incidentals. Additionally: Small amount of towels in the room. Lights do not work unless room key/card is in the wall slot at the door. Told conflicting information about the pool; open, close, and cleaning times. Waited a couple hours for “cleaning” which never happened. Sign says “closes at dusk”. Blasting loud techno music which no one wanted to hear at the pool, at the time. Halls to rooms are dark. Television services are limited…no access to Netflix, etc. Limited outlets near the bed. Most are across the room. No shower door. When you turn on the shower, be ready to shower (while the water is cold). Mold/mildew smell throughout hotel Very low water pressure Security told my friend he needed a shirt on in the pool area after it closed, but allowed a women who vomited, in front of all guests, lounging around the pool, to remain, when her two friends could have easily taken her inside to the sofa a few feet away or their room. Her friends then covered her with pool towels while she sleep at a patio table, laying on two chairs. Inside pool area books and decor…dusty and spider webs…needs cleaning Very unclear and inconsistent communication! Canvas…wonderful concept on a very low budget! Free shuttle within 3 mile radius. Shuttle Drivers…thank you!!!!
