“Great Stay”
Wonderful service from Alexander at the front desk. Made you feel like family and so accommodating. Clean rooms with a nice bar and grill. I'm a return customer and will be back. The room rate was excellent. Very. Ice happy hour drinks and food.

“Friendly staff”
Alexander at the front desk was beyond helpful and kind. His enthusiasm was contagious and immediately put me in a good mood. The restaurant was also nice and had a variety options. However, the spa was lukewarm at best, so we were unable to use it.

Staff at this hotel are friendly and helpful, happy to answer questions and solve problems. They are definitely the highlight of this location. The hotel itself is dated and the rooms need some love; if you look at the lobby and restaurant areas, you will be disappointed once you enter your room. We had a double queen room on the far side of the hotel near the parking garage--kudos to staff for asking our preference and ensuring we were as far from the road noise as possible, as the hotel sits just off Bristol, and not far from 405. We still heard occasional road noise, but far less than if we'd been on the other side. Other positives: a water refill station at the end of the hall, where there was also a microwave, and an ice machine. Nice bathroom toiletries: the fragrance on the bath gel, shampoo, and conditioner wasn't overwhelming. We had dinner twice at the hotel restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced--you could have a conversation without yelling over a television or piped-in music.. Challenges: Our room was musty, unpleasantly warm, and stale on entry, and the carpet squished a bit due to the high humidity. There was a dearth of towels and cups, and something had spilled in the refrigerator from a prior guest. As seems to be standard now with many hotels, whoever chose furnishing decided the people on the outside of the bed did not need a nightstand or other place to put items like glasses, watches, or devices. Too bad for you! There was one luggage rack (for a double room), one giant wardrobe (with no shelving) and two drawers--the other half of the dresser housed the minifridge that struggled to stay cool given the dresser unit had no ventilation. There was one desk and an uncomfortable desk chair, but no other chairs in the room. Again, this is a double room: if one person is at the desk, the other person/people are just...out of luck unless they're fine lounging on the bed. The bathroom was...ok--the toilet was toddler sized, and there was no exhaust fan (perhaps why the room felt humid). Hot water was inconsistent. The one vent in the wall (that appeared to literally be just a hole into the ventilation with no exhaust fan) was crusted with visible dust bunnies. There were streaks down the sides of the shower wall (no amount of cleaning would remove them). There was barely enough room for one person to turn around. The area at the end of the hall with the ice machine and water station had a very off smell, like there had been a flood, or something had spoiled. Housekeeping came through twice during our stay, and despite that, nothing alleviated the slightly rancid odor coming from this area. Possibly our biggest frustration of these was the internet; despite having the login password, our connectivity dropped regularly. This was especially frustrating during work/conference calls; the "business center" was a carved-out corner near the front of the hotel with enough comfortable room for one person and would not be an option for multiple people. Overall, an okay stay, largely due to the kindness of the staff; this hotel needs some serious attention for its overall room upkeep and experience.
