We stayed overnight here - room 925 from 7-15-7-16 while we were in town to tour the University of South Carolina. We were very happy with our decision to stay here. Our room was very, very clean, housekeeping was wonderful and prompt when we called up for an extra blanket and towels. The eucalyptus shower toiletries were fantastic. Special thanks to Franklin at the front desk and the young lady (with red hair) on the second morning of our stay at the front desk. The staff there was amazing, especially the front desk staff. Franklin was fantastic. All staff we encountered were helpful and charming. They had fresh baked cookies at the front desk all day which was a very nice touch. Also, during the evenings they have a complimentary shuttle that takes you to local places around town on request - very convenient. We enjoyed the pool. There is a small area near the front desk to buy cold bottled waters, small snacks, etc. The Sealy Artesia HD Cushion Firm mattresses were new and were heavenly to sleep on. My only recommendation would be to improve the on site food option. The Bistro didn't look that organized and both meals were were going to eat there there were out of items. So even though we booked a breakfast included rate, we ate off site (at Eggs Up on Devine). Other than that, our stay was perfect and would stay here when returning to Columbia.

I stayed here recently. It was a convenient location to stay for my organization's Annual District Meeting. Nice amenities in the area. Near the convention center and University of South Carolina campus. The area seemed nice and quiet. The hotel staff was very nice greeting you as you entered. The restaurant staff was also great. The hotel was taken care of. The lobby areas and the hallways were clean. My room was decent but you could tell this was an older courtyard property. Everything worked great for me. I could sleep even though I could hear nearby trains coming through the area. My gripe was that while mostly the room was clean and well-appointed. The housekeepers did not wipe or dust the bottom of the chair at the desk. The dust was so thick on the bottom of the chair I could write my name on it. The only other significant issue I had was the parking deck. It was very clean but a little challenging to park cars, SUVs, and trucks due to the clearance. It was difficult to get into and out of parking spaces in the covered section. It looks like it was designed for smaller vehicles.

“Great chocolate chip cookies!”

Average but they serve fresh chocolate chip cookies! Garage is a $10/day fee and parking snug for any larger vehicle. Lots of traffic nearby so try get a room on the non-street side. No free coffee or tea in the lobby but there is a restaurant/bar in the lobby. Staff pleasant.
