“Excellent for family of five”

We had an excellent stay. Our family of five had a very comfortable sleep, and anything that we needed we were able to get from the very friendly staff. Ms. Robin and her breakfast crew were exceptional. The food was delicious and the customer service even better!

I was pleasantly surprised by this Homewood Suites. It is very near the airport, but I never heard noise from planes taking off or landing. I reserved a king-studio, which had a galley kitchen vs. a separate bedroom/living room. The room was clean, just a little worn, but with all standard amenities. The bed was very comfortable and the DirectTV and air conditioning worked well, even after a power surge which took out all the lights for a few minutes during the storm. Breakfast was adequate and hot. Check-in was quick, and the staff member who assisted me was ultra pleasant. She was also the person who handled my checkout the next day, and was just as pleasant for it it be early on Saturday morning. An added plus was that parking was free.

“Started out with a bang, ended with bland”

We used this hotel as the starting and ending point for our family vacation. When we checked in the first time, we were greeted with the most amazing, gracious welcome I've ever experienced. From there, it went downhill. We stayed in room 301, a two-bedroom suite (great size for a family of four), but the room needed updating and cosmetic touchups. When we returned from dinner, there was a security vehicle parked in the front, ensuring that only guests were using the lot. When I talked about this with the front desk, I learned it was due to the area not being the safest. "It is Atlanta, after all," is a quote from the front desk. The hotel uses large bottles of shampoo and conditioners to keep down litter (admirable) though the conditioner was empty. On our second stay, the greeting wasn't the warmest, though, to be fair, their key system was just coming back online. They were probably stressed from having to walk guests to their rooms. This time we stayed in 601, another two-bedroom suite. The front door latch was an oversized hole surrounded by a metal plate. There was a lot of play in the door. The security latch had obviously been relocated many times from all of the holes in the door frame. The room was also in dire need of cosmetic touchups and an update. Lastly, we found a stain (blood?) on one of the duvet covers. Again we found that the hair conditioner bottle was empty. The gym was the highlight. It wasn't fancy, but you could get in a good workout. The breakfast was bland and limited.
