Pros: Convenient to airport; outstanding staff; clean, comfortable, and quiet guest rooms. Cons: Parking fees; 7th floor lounge for Bonvoy elites is no substitute for M Clubs. An airport hotel doesn't sound like a place for much beyond a place for preparing for an early morning flight, but this property worked well for both work purposes and an anniversary weekend getaway for me and my wife. All of the staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful- there wasn't a mediocre one in the bunch. We appreciated the extremely nice guest room with a typically comfortable king-sized Marriott bed, large television, and air conditioner that kept the room chilly without the need to consult YouTube for an override hack (which is getting rare these days). Despite planes flying by at least once a minute, it was completely quiet- we didn't hear any jets above or obnoxious neighbors in the hallway. The only thing we didn't appreciate was the sliding barn door to the bathroom that was nearly impossible to close in the middle of the night. This barn door trend needs to end. When my wife needed to go to the airport to return home before me, it was a quick ride on ATL's monorail (and the station was perfectly adjacent to the hotel). Not having to retrieve the car from the lot was very convenient- too bad this hotel insists on charging quite a bit for vehicles, whether it be self-parking or valet. This is another unfortunate trend in recent years. One one major complaint was the 7th floor lounge for Bonvoy elites not being open on weekends and the breakfast offerings during the week not being up to par with what I've come to expect of M Club lounges in other Marriott-branded properties, Still, it wasn't enough to dissuade me from returning here next time I'm in the Atlanta area.
