My husband and I spent one night with our granddaughter while she was attending a dance class in downtown Cincinnati. When determining where we'd stay, we always go to marriott.com and Marriott has a lot of properties in the downtown Cincinnati area and across the river in Covington and Newport. I determined that the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter would be the best for us. And it was absolutely a perfect stay. No issues. Comfortable room and bedding. We are members of the Marriott loyalty so a very nice breakfast buffet was available to us in a room outside of the main lobby restaurant. Doris was the attendant the morning we had breakfast and she was so friendly and helpful. We used the valet service for our car and the staff was excellent! When not serving other guests, all of the front desk staff greeted us each time we walked by. That is consistently the way it is with the Marriott hotels we've stayed in. It is in the culture of the organization. (We just returned from a 10-day stay visiting five different national parks in southern Utah. In three of the locations where we were, we didn't have the opportunity to stay in a Marriott. They are national brands and each was nice and adequate places, but the feeling we get from the staff of "we're glad you chose our hotel" just simply isn't there from each staff member you encounter!) Back to Cincinnati: When you are on the Kentucky side of the river, you are going to find a lot of wonderful restaurants and places you can walk to. Getting to and from the location of our granddaughter's dance class was a breeze from the Cincinnati Marriott at RiverCenter. Great stay, we highly recommend it!

This was such a comfortable clean hotel. The children enjoyed the pool and the buffet breakfast. We were in a great walkable location. The glass elevators were also an unlikely hit for the kids. The staff was so friendly and receptive! There are several parking locations and a valet option as well. We ended up using the garage for our stay.

“Beautiful river views”

Gorgeous views! Comfy beds and rooms are very clean. Well kept and classy. Location is great for downtown events. We walked across the blue bridge and made a baseball game. We included the Ark Encounter and Creation museum. Made a couple of hiking trails and ate a few high rated food spots. It was a great time for my husband , my teen son and I. This was a great stay.

“Best Option in Covington”

Stayed at the Marriott for one night in July while visiting family. We chose this hotel for the Cinci views and the potential of having a balcony. Pros: excellent customer service. Valet, front desk and restaurant/bar staff (especially the manager) were all extremely helpful and friendly. Room was well appointed and bed and pillows were very comfortable. Cons: $42 valet parking. Ridiculous for Covington. We chose a balcony room - would not do that again. Only two balcony rooms per floor and they are directly across from the elevator which can be heard. The balconies are also very small dirty. The road noise from the nearby bridge was loud and could be heard day and night (soundproof windows are advertised - these most definitely are not). I slept with my noise cancelling headphones on. The door wall frame had thick mold around the bottom - looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. The room darkening curtains had some holes. They turned the former river side restaurant and terrace into a banquet room - there is no place to site outside to have food and beverage - such a miss with that view. Bizarre floor plan with entry and pool level on street level - you have to take a separate elevator bank to the lobby area. Not great for pool use. Nice pool but it was pretty chilly.
