“Good option for a stay in the heart of Chicago”

Generally, I liked my stay at the hotel. The hotel is pretty much standard Courtyard chain style – nothing fancy or particularly unique about it. Some parts of the hotel (like the old, slow elevators and dirty carpets in the hallways) are outdated and need to be renovated. My check-in process was super fast and easy. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. I was given a room on a high (14th) floor with a nice city view, as requested before arrival, which I appreciated. My room (#1435) was spacious and in generally good condition, providing a comfortable atmosphere. It featured a very comfortable King-sized bed, plus a small sofa. As an extra plus, there was a big closet. I also liked the special podium section to put luggage on – it’s a thoughtful touch. The only downside for me was the air conditioner, which was located under the window directly opposite the bed. It blew cold air right onto me, which irritated my nose. I absolutely loved the large bathroom. It was divided into two sections by a door: an area with just a sink, and a second section with the toilet and a shower stall. The shower stall was very big, by the way. However, I need to point out the very low-quality bathroom amenities – they smelled unpleasant and felt cheap. Additionally, the towels were thin, rough, and also of poor quality. The Wi-Fi worked very fast, which was a big plus. To wrap up, I must highlight the hotel’s excellent location right in the center of Chicago. It’s super convenient and within walking distance of major sights located in the Magnificent Mile area and Chicago Loop area. Also, it is very easy to get to Chicago’s famous Navy Pier, plus, to get easy access to the Lake Michigan walk. My nightly hotel rate was around $160, which I find somewhat reasonable considering the hotel’s overall good quality and the nice room I received. I absolutely recommend this hotel for a stay in Chicago, especially if your goal is to be in the heart of the city.

This was a very nice stay. It had a pool and a sauna and one of the nicest hotel gyms I’ve seen. The room was very clean and seemed newly renovated. The staff was very very kind and welcoming, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was there was one problem with a minor toilet leak which was not too bad. One more reason is because in the lobby they did not have fruit infused water which in my opinion is the best part of a hotel. Thank you courtyard Marriott for your kindness we will be staying in the Marriott franchise again. (Btw the fruit infused water was a joke even though that is something the Marriott could add).

Two stays for business here, and I’ll be back. Quintessential Courtyard experience. Great front desk staff. Efficient and friendly. Functional, clean, comfortable, no-frills rooms. Comfortable beds. You’re not paying for fancy, you’re paying for location and competence and that’s what you get. Good location for downtown business or tourism. There is a restaurant/bar attached to the lobby. If anything it’s underutilized by guests, at least mid-week when I’ve been there. Bartender told me it’s a relatively new re-boot in that space, so maybe still getting up to speed?
