We stayed at the ACME 23.11.24 - 30.11.24 for Thanksgiving week and found the hotel to be in an excellent location within a short walk to mag mile and downtown, public transport was also easily accessible from here. Housekeeping is on request only before 2pm which for us is fine as we don't generally feel we need the room cleaning daily and to be fair we were in the room that little that we didn't bother getting it done once during our stay and would just ask at reception for toilet paper etc when we needed it. Staff were pleasant when we interacted with them at the reception on check in/out etc. The room was clean and comfortable for the duration of our stay. We also didn't need to use the heating system as we found the room to be the perfect temperature without it on. The rooms are quite quirky almost hostel vibes in some sense but we liked them and we had no issue when using the Amazon Echo in the room, just say "Alexa *insert command*" and it will work no issue; not sure why people need telling what to do with it as previous reviewers have stated. The rooms had retro style mini fridges and this was brilliant, really cold so actually working well unlike in a lot of hotels i've stayed in. The bathroom mirror is a little different with some illuminated lips on it which is pretty cool and the shower we found to be powerful, it's just a shame that a hand attachment isn't also available in the shower. There is very little storage space for clothes which isn't an issue for us as we don't unpack keeping the majority of our stuff in our suitcases and the suitcases stayed in front of the desk/TV area as we had no where else for them. As the hotel is on a busy main road it can get quite noisy during the night with sirens etc passing by and that is one thing that may put people off. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again when visiting Chicago.

My husband and I stayed at the ACME Thanksgiving weekend. First this hotel is located in the River North area of Chicago. Very close to restaurants and coffee shops. We were greeted warmly by a hotel clerk who was very helpful by checking us in and explaining to us how the parking worked. Parking is priced at 60$US and with the hotel credit comes to down to 40$US per day with no in and out privileges. The hotel is decorated in a very unique and funky way. Our room was located on the third floor away from the elevators like we requested It was a very basic and small room but included all the necessities. It was a clean room but was worn out, ( paint was coming off the ceiling next to the heating unit). Let me tell you that heating unit was the nosiest it kept us up most of our first night.. I guess you get what you pay for . It was just an okay option but I’m sure there are better options out there. We had to choose a hotel very quickly that’s why we chose ACME.
