“good staybridge hotel (beside breakfast), friendly personell”

a good experience beside the breakfast which is minimal and also be described as unacceptable. the room (studio with two rooms) are fine, also here housekeeping does not work in time. the hotel is located in a loud environment so someone should try to get a room at a suitable side.

When we arrived, our room wasn't ready and we had to wait in the lobby for half an hour after checking on the status of our room twice. The room had a very strong cooking odor that wasn't remedied by opening the windows or using air fresheners we bought ourselves. The smell was so strong that it permeated our clothing. After some negotiation with the manager, we were able to move to a better suite on a lower floor. This made the room more noisy, but we were grateful that it smelled better. The breakfast had limited options, but we made the best of it. I had a very confusing phone call while in Philadelphia with my family saying that our room couldn't be cleaned because we didn't crate our dog. We don't have a dog.. so not sure how that confusion occurred. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations from staying at other Staybridge properties.

“Spacious 2BdRm Suite and spacious common areas”

Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay. The staff (everyone of them that we encountered) were friendly, welcoming and very helpful and fulfilled some of our special requests. We were satisfied with our accomodations. The 2 BdRm King suite was spacious and clean. We were not crowded in our room and could move around without bumping into otheres in the room. The kitchenette is equipped with only two stovetop burners which made meal preparation tricky. but the rooms were outfitted with plates, bowls, cups, glasses, cutlery, one pan and one pot. We were informed that during our staying housekeeping would not be in to change out towels and bed but we could request more towels and facecloths. However, when I requested more on one of the evenings I was informed they had run out of bath towels and could only provide hand towels and washcloths. My other disappointment was with the long term occupants/residents. I don't know what the arrangment is but if I'm paying to stay in a hotel I want to have a hotel experience and access to areas which are for all guests, but that wasn't always the case. While walking through the corridor (1st floor) to get to the lobby, certain long-term occupants kept their doors open giving it a feel that I was walking through a group home/nursing home rather than a hotel. Additionally, on one of the nights of our stay the guests in my party along with a few family memebers that live closeby gathered in the common lobby area which is beautifully equipped with sofas, chairs, a bigscreen tv and fireplace, this area is adjacent to the high-top tables and eating area for breakfast which is where we sat. Evidently, this common area seems to be a place where the longterm residents congregate daily. Everytime we came to the coffee statiion or just walked through there was this one particular mann who was ALWAYS there. One day a person joined him for a convo and she had her laundry with her and later on that same day there he was (along with others who trickled in) feet up on the coffee table, watching the game - then in walks the pizza delivery. We received a glare a few times, I am thinking it is because our laughter got louder however it's a common area where many can congregate as to not disturb guests in their rooms. I just found the glares to be off-putting and felt like we were somehow trespassing. Lastly, the keys were temperamental at the side door. There were some evenings that I had to walk around to the front because the key wouldn't work.
