I’ve always felt that HGI was one of the more consistently excellent brands out there, and this one delivered even more so than most. A full outline of my experience can be found below. Curb Appeal/Parking/Location: The hotel is clearly a bit older on the outside but looks very well kept and presentable. There’s plenty of parking and plenty of doors so never too long of a walk. The location is excellent, close to a huge mall, tons of restaurants, and easy access to I75. It’s less than 20 minutes to downtown and Lookout Mountain. The Rest of the Non-Room Things: The hotel feels very recently renovated inside, and the lobby, common areas, and halls are beautiful. There’s a business center, fitness center, and indoor pool, as well as a restaurant. Breakfast isn’t provided but isn’t too expensive and is very good. The employees here were also absolutely amazing, all super friendly and good at their job. The Room: I had room 507 and was very impressed. Upon entering, there was a spacious entryway with an open closet with some drawer storage. There was also a sort of wet bar with a Keurig, fridge, and microwave. The bathroom was across the hall with nice fixtures, plenty of storage, and a nice stand up shower. The only real maintenance issue I could find in this area was the paint on the ceiling above the shower had came down a bit, but nothing objectionable. The rest of the room was nice with a laminate floor, and carpet around the beds, both of which being spotless. There was a desk, more storage, a very comfy chair, and large TV. The beds were very comfy and clean, and the abundance of USB and power ports were welcome. The room was also well lit, and smelled good, with a solid view and nice window treatments. The only real issue I could find in this portion of the room was that the HVACs thermostat was a bit sticky, and the PTAC was a bit loud with dust filters. Again, this is by no means a serious issue, and considering this was literally the only cleanliness issue I could find, that’s very impressive. Summary: This hotel is fairly priced for the neighborhood and extremely nice, I’d definitely recommend it.

“Wonderful place!”

Excellent! Upon arrival staff was efficient and was very accommodating. Loved having the restaurant and bar in the lobby after a full day of traveling. Really surprised the food was excellent and the service was the best ever.

Seems like most hotels in Chatanooga are over-priced. This one is a better value than others, which is probably why the parking lot was virtually full. Place is very clean. Rooms are spacious but the bathroom will only hold 1 person at a time. Has an indoor pool. Front desk coverage seems spotty. F… more

Seems like most hotels in Chatanooga are over-priced. This one is a better value than others, which is probably why the parking lot was virtually full. Place is very clean. Rooms are spacious but the bathroom will only hold 1 person at a time. Has an indoor pool. Front desk coverage seems spotty. Food service is another story. $13 for what was maybe a 4oz. pour of house wine was an absolute rip off. Dinner was ok. A burger is $15+. Fries $5. more. Sorry, no supposed to be included coleslaw tonight. Need to get a breakfast voucher every AM. Breakfast is less than convenient having to wait on only 1 server to get your hot breakfast. Cold items you get yourself. No one at desk to check out. Just left the room keys. Not sure we would stay here again.
