We stayed at this hotel due to it's proximity to Carowinds, as well as it's fair price (not sure if the price is always what we paid, but if so, it's a bargain) From the minute you pull up it is very appealing, and the room doesn't disappoint. It is very modern feeling and has a somewhat unique room layout which I thought was great. The bathroom door is barn-style (slides) and is frosted, which I know is a bit of a trend in hotels, but personally I think it's weird. Plus, the door doesn't really fully close due to it's hanging/sliding design. But I digress. Really only two complaints, and they are very minor. 1: At prime breakfast time, a man was mopping the only hallway to get to the eating area. He insisted that we went outside, and walked around to the front door of the building. I thought that was weird. 2: The breakfast itself didn't match the grandeur of the hotel. It was average at best. But the sitting area was nice. The hotel grounds are maintained nicely and there is ample parking. This hotel is also in a great area of Charlotte i've never been to. It appears to be quite affluent and felt very safe. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

A large group was staying and although the gathering in the lobby/eating area was a bit loud with conversation, the group was very pleasant. Lazy review Pros- are location, toilet/shower areas separated, bed, good size room, good staff Cons-are Glass bathroom doors, elevator location Improvements- are add loaf bread, its cheap, get real bathroom doors. Staff=A: Nice and helpful Housekeeping= looked clean Elevator= 2 but almost end of hotel Pet Friendly= No pets allowed :) came with Fridge= Small, no freezer Room was Cleanliness- Everything appeared clean Tv- good size but no interactive channel menu Bed= soft and clean Pillows= soft Heating and air= worked well, has constant on option Shower/bath= large shower but no bath Toiletries= Wall mount, not the best scent, not the worse Well lite= lighting in and out of room seemed good. Laundry= yes, 1 washer was broken, but 1 set was working. $1 each for ~30 minute cycles. Breakfast= Was ok. No loaf bread for toast, only bagels and English muffins. Restaurant= no Business Center= yes View= parking lot (see pic) Pool= yes, but people using the patio to smoke. Fitness room.= yes, newer equipment Location= Very nice area, close to many amenities such as Walmart Price was- $147 Parking-free Summery- We had a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and helpful (let us do afternoon check out as we had stuff going on) and a in a nice convenient area. Room Tip: 1st floor gets noisy from the lobby crowd, might want another floor. Eco-friendly practices=lights/water pressure are LED and pressure was good on 3. Issues= We really do not like the sliding glass doors on the bathrooms… doors don’t lock and anyone uses during the night, the room is flooded with light since it is, after all, frosted glass doors. Pretty unpleasant for the person trying to sleep.

This hotel is well located and has great access to dining and shopping. The service is good and the property is well maintained. The television channels are not very good. My TV was not a smart TV and seemed to be analog. Many of channels we're distorted (see pictures) and not much variety. The TV in the common area was clear but I believe it used a Amazon Fire Stick.
