“Wonderful restful weekend”

The continental breakfast was wonderful! Daisy, Paulo and Ana were helpful and kind. The guest services were helpful as well and the beds were super comfy! I do hate paying for parking at a place that I stay, so that was my only con. Amazing time!

Booked this room for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and thought there was no way I could go wrong with the Sheraton. Booked a city view king room. Booked this room for my boyfriend’s birthday weekend and thought there was no way I could go wrong with the Sheraton. Booked a city view king room. We arrived at 8pm to check in and were told our room was not ready and wouldn’t be so they could not give us what I reserved. Claimed we were getting a free “upgrade” to a corner king room. Not understanding how our room wasn’t ready at 8pm but we were tired from the drive and said ok. We open the door to the room and immediately notice it seems dirty. Not to mention, our view is the side of the hotel next door, no city. The floor is dirty, the desk is dirty, and we open the door to the bathroom which was only big enough to turn around in and there’s wood broke off the back of the door and the tub is chipped all over. We then notice paint everywhere. We go downstairs to the nice young lady that checked us in and she apologizes and gives us another room but the only available was a double city view. Somehow not cheaper. We are so tired at this point that we said fine. Also, we are charged $50 for parking that’s not covered parking and doesn’t feel safe. It would have been nice to know that the hotel was under construction and the room charge lowered. The paint everywhere throughout looked like they hired just anybody since it’s splattered all over the walls and floors. The only good thing about our stay was the entire staff were very friendly. We will never stay again and definitely not recommend.

Positives: - front desk staff, and frankly all the staff, out themselves into their work - if you like a 10 minute half mile walk to where most of the attractions are, this hotel is perfect. Not too close, not too far. - It's great for runners - there is a creekside trail that runs for miles just behind the hotel - Pretty good gym for a hotel Negatives - A bit short staffed - I checked in at 10pm and had to wait as my room wasn't ready. Granted they gave me bar coupons so it was a pleasant wait with half a dozen other late arrivers! But not what I expected checking in that late. - Internet is lame on the 12th floor. Or maybe it was my room? Don't expect to work from the hotel. But maybe that's a good thing. - The breakfast buffet is not much better than lower grade Marriot properties. Think bagged scrambled eggs.
